THE LADY WHO WRECKED KATE HENSHAW’S MARRIAGE

The buzz about Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw and her better half of 12 years, Roderick James Nuttal’s crashed marriage may have come and gone but one thing that is still shrouded in secrecy is the real reason behind the unexpected separation from one of the then best couples in the entertainment industry.

It would be recalled that there were serious of tales that trailed the breakup and one of them was that her hubby who’s the Managing Director of Ledrop Nigeria Ltd (agents for Jack Daniels and Piper Hiedsieck) was romancing his secretary whose name was unknown, hence our curiosity to get to the root of the story.

This office after several investigations discovered that the said secretary is the main architect of the crashed union. Her name, we can exclusively disclose is Angela Gordon a twenty four years old pretty lady from the South South part of the country. Angela according to our source is a staff at Mr. Nuttal’s company located at Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The duo according to the story kicked off a secret romance which was fueled by Angela’s mum three years ago while kate’s marriage with her husband was still intact until the actress got wind of their affair.

The news of the romance we reliably learnt was brought to Kate’s notice by one of the aggrieved staff of her husband when it was obvious Angela was towing the part of a second wife. The revelation we learnt resulted to a surprise visit to her hubby’s office. “Aunty Kate stormed her husband’s office on this fateful evening unannounced and was shocked to find her husband with Angela in an uncompromising position”, “and I also learnt that she had initially lied that she was on a movie set in Lekki before paying the unwelcomed visit that ended their union”, the source revealed.

We further squealed that serious argument ensued between the two ladies and Mr. Nuttal we learnt had to confirm his affair with his secretary to his wife who became perplexed immediately. Our grapevine also added that the height of it was when Kate’s hubby gave her an option of either accepting things as it were or bow out of the marriage if she can’t stand his relationship with Angela.

The outcome of the storm however was the official statement from the estranged couple months later announcing their separation without any concrete reason when it was obvious the marriage could not go on.

Angela now cruises a black Range Rover Sport and lives in a cozy 3-bedroom apartment around Lekki phase 1 courtesy of her white lover. The new madam of the house as she’s popularly called by friends also allegedly miscarried a baby for Nuttal around late last year 2012 while the duo is also said to be flaunting their romance since the couple went their separate ways with Angela’s mum being her backbone.

In our facts finding mission, this office got in touch with Kate Henshaw who told us to feel free to ask her any question, she however denied the angle of the secretary, “No, that’s not the fact, Mr. Nuttal’s secretary is Yetunde and she has nothing to do with this, but for Angela, I don’t have much to say on this but I know her, she’s one of the Sales girls, so thanks for getting in touch all the same”, she ended in a final tone. Efforts to speak to Mr. Nuttal proved abortive as at press time. We shall be bringing her pictures in our next edition as we unfold more facts of the romance.

Ghanaian Stars Ignored Amaa Awards

Latest information coming in from Nigeria indicates that the Ghanaian delegation of actors, producers and filmmakers who attended the ninth edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Nigerian over the weekend was completely ignored, snubbed and left high and dry by the organisers.

Though the Ghanaian delegation was officially invited to the event, and the members were assured that they would be chauffeured from the hotel to the red-carpet opening ceremony, which was to start at exactly 5:00 p.m last Saturday, no vehicle came for the group until it eventually had to plead with Yvonne Okoro to use her Nigerian 'connection' to arrange a vehicle.

Again, when the Ghanaian delegation, including actor Kofi Adjorlolo, Eddie Nartey, Prince David Osei, Yvonne Okoro and several others entered the auditorium, they were shocked to realize that no seating arrangement had been made for them.

"I was invited as a special guest and was told that I would be presenting an award, but when we got there, the organizers could not get us seats. They packed us together and made us perch behind the bandsmen and their instruments.

"We protested that we are distinguished invited guests from Ghana and that we deserve to sit at the front row but not behind bandsmen. Eventually, they found us seats at the front, but that also came with its own drama. It was as if we were not even in the room because our presence was not acknowledged, and not even Yvonne Okoro, who was competing for an award had her presence acknowledged.

We just sat there like some gate-crashers and I was not even called to present the award for which I flew all the way to Nigeria," actor Prince David Osei confirmed in a telephone interview last Sunday.

Interestingly, reports from Nigeria said the Ghanaians were the most cheered on the red carpet, but the treatment they received from the organizers was the exact opposite. Previous AMAA editions have not been so as delegations from all the participating countries were treated like stars and their presence acknowledged at the event.

Terry G Beats Up AY Dot Com

Although the both parties mentioned do not enjoy the best of relationship for some years now, no one knew it would degenerate into a rofo rofo fight years after, until they finally engaged each other in a severe boxing match recently that finally earned AY a serious head but from ‘Terry the Ginja’ .
For the purpose of those who may not have understood the whole story, let us revert to the beginning of the matter.

In 2009, AY Dot come launched an attack on Terry G and warned him to stop performing his song, “Pass Me Your Love” in shows. The song which featured Terry and was also produced by him turned out to be a monster hit single later became the subject of a misunderstanding between the two parties over the years.

While Terry on his part claims he has the right of performing the song since it was a duet that featured him, AY Dot Come maintained it was never going to happen while he lives.

Meanwhile, AY on several occasions lamented of how Terry G went about collecting money on his behalf to perform the song without his consent.

Now from the story, you can see it was an age long animosity which finally turned out into a free for all fight, where blows were exchanged; several bottles broken, people injured, trying to separate the fight. Fast forward to what happened at Terry G’s Iju home on his birthday.

An eyewitness said, ‘AY came in the company of some friends as a sign of solidarity to celebrate with the ‘Intellectual Mad Man’ on his birthday and upon sighting him, Terry G Immediately threw caution to the wind and all the madness in him was let lose, as he punched AY severally and landed him an headbutt.

AY upon being rescued reached out for the next available weapon but was immediately intercepted by friends and colleagues. At this point the party was already thrown into a halt, while Terry G insisted that Ay disappears from his house before something worse happens. AY was immediately seen to the gate of the compound with bruises all over his body.

Neither Terry G nor AY was available to give their reaction on the story, as their both numbers were switched off as at the time of filing in this report.

Mercy Johnson-Okojie Dedicates Baby Girl

It was a double celebration for the curvy Nollywood actress and her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie as they dedicated their 4 month old baby, Purity Ozioma and a new house on April 28.

Pregnant Woman Lets Online Voters Choose Baby’s Name For $5,000

A 26-year-old pregnant woman from West Los Angeles, California, has agreed to allow online voters to chose the name of her child, in exchange for $5,000.

Natasha Hill, a young art teacher from LA, is expecting a baby in September, but she had already started thinking about his/her name. She considered naming her child Katorah or Winter, but since she couldn’t make up her mind, she decided to enter a competition organized by Belly Ballot, a Austin, Texas-based startup that lets parents-to-be crowdsource their babies names with friends and family. According to the online company, voter will be presented with a list of 10 names - five boy names and five girl names – chosen by Belly Ballot and sponsors of the contest.

The one with the most votes by the time the ballot concludes will be the name Hill’s baby will legally have, at least until he or she turns 18. Belly Ballot founder Lacey Moler assured participants brand names or names that are “too crazy” won’t be included in the 10 options.

“I just thought it was a really cool idea,” Natasha said. “I’m so excited to have won!” she wrote on the Belly Ballot blog. “The whole Belly Ballot concept is so social and fun, and can’t wait to see what everyone votes for!” But her boyfriend is not as enthusiastic. Despite the ballot company’s claims, he’s afraid voters won’t be able to resist the temptation to choose the craziest, most unusual names.

The mother to be said she won’t be monitoring the results during the March 18-22 contest, afraid she’ll pick a favorite name and be disappointed if it doesn’t get chosen.The mother-to-be was chosen from 80 entrants, after she said she would use the $5,000 prize money to pay off credit card debts and put the rest away for her child’s college fund.

As you’d expect, this unusual contest has sparked controversy among traditionalists who believe choosing a baby’s name is a personal decision of the parents, and not something to be used for financial gains and media exposure. “This is crazy,” a person wrote on the Belly Ballot blog “You should all be ashamed of yourselves for even considering this. What are you going to tell your baby when they ask you how you chose their name? Don’t do it, you will regret this.”

Another commenter said:“Don’t get me wrong, I could use the money, but this sounds a bit outrageous.” the Baby Ballot founder doesn’t agree: ”This might not appeal to everyone, and we definitely respect parents who choose to keep their name and the baby naming process more private,” Moler told She Knows. ”However, we are allowing baby naming to become more social, and a lot of parents love being able to include their friends and family in the process.”

Why I Love Nigerian Men – Ex-BBA Star, Vimbai Mutinhiri

Vimbai Mutinhiri, born and raised in Zimbabwe, a graduate of politics, philosophy and economics, was one of the housemates on the 6th edition of the Big Brother Africa game-show in 2011, which had Karen Igho as winner. Recently, the pretty entertainer copped a job as co-host of the 1st edition of Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, alongside IK Osakioduwa, in Lagos, Nigeria.

In this interview she expressed her thoughts about Nigeria and a couple of projects to be expected from her soon.

How would you describe yourself as a person and not the public figure?

Well, I am a very quiet and reserved person. I spend a lot of time at home with my DVDs and I’m crazy about good jazz music. I’m simple, loving, never take any moment for granted and always give everything my best.

What was life before Big Brother Africa (BBA) 6 like?

Life before Big Brother Africa was normal, I guess. I had just graduated from the university, started modelling and was trying to carve out a career in entertainment for myself before the opportunity came. I was just a normal young lady with big dreams.

What were your experiences in the BBA house?

Experiences in the Big Brother Africa House changed my life in so many ways. It was a unique experience living with people from different parts of the continent. I met new people, learnt new cultures, but most importantly I learnt a lot about myself. Basically, I could say I found myself, because there was so much pressure making it necessary that you defined yourself, in order to be noticed in the crowd.

How did you come about the AMVCA job and what was your reaction on getting it?

Honestly, I just received an email one day telling me that I had been chosen to host the event with IK. It was just before my birthday, so it was the perfect birthday present, and a wonderful blessing. I remained surprised until the very moment the show started.

What was it like co-hosting the AMVCAs with IK Osakioduwa?

It was a great because IK is so experienced in the industry, making it a great challenge to step up to his level and complement him on the stage. I learned a lot and I grew so much and he made that happen by making it easy and fun to handle. I’m glad I got to share the experience with him.

What are your views on Nigeria as a country and its citizens?

Nigeria is one of the warmest nations I have ever visited in my life. The people are unique and I love their strong personalities. With every visit to Nigeria, I learn why Nigerians are some of the most successful people in the world.

What do you love most about Nigeria?

I thoroughly enjoy the Lagos nightlife, and of course the delicious food. I love suya and some great seafood dishes also.

Would you marry a Nigerian, if possible?

Certainly, Nigerian men are fine gentlemen.

Are you in any intimate relationship currently?

No, I am currently single.

Describe your dream man?

My dream man is caring, loving, patient with me even when I get dramatic and hyperactive. He should be able to encourage me when I am down and inspire me to grow. My dream man is the man who will always bring out the best in me and spoil me rotten, of course.

How do you balance relationship and work?

I think that everything has its season. When I step into a relationship, my man will respect the demands of the industry that I have chosen. Of course, a successful relationship is built on support and compromise, so I will always make sure that my man has his rightful place in my life.

Do you have religious backing in your career?

Nothing is possible without the hand of the almighty, so I commit every single thing in my life to him every morning when I open my eyes. I believe that I have only travelled this far in my career because God’s grace and favour are over me. Without his hand, I would be nothing and nobody.

His grace is enough for me. That appeals to me the most because it is the testimony of my life.

Mother Of 9 Suffocates Newborn Baby Because “She Has Too Many Children”

An Arizona mother of nine suffocated her newborn baby to death because she “already had too many kids,” police said.

Nina Koistinen, 36, is accused of covering 6-day-old daughter Maya’s nose and mouth with her hand April 8 until she passed out in bed at their Phoenix home.

Her husband, Bradley, discovered the girl unconscious at 6:45 a.m.

He rushed her to hospital, but she was pronounced dead.

At first Koistinen told her husband Maya had fallen asleep during feeding.

But an autopsy revealed “possible signs of suffocation.”

A review of the mother’s child protection service reports led cops to question whether the death had been deliberate.

Records revealed she had previously made statements about wanting to smother her children.

She had also said she wished they’d go to heaven after a car crash that cops said appeared intentional.

Koistinen was arrested and, according to My Fox Phoenix, confessed to killing her baby because she “already had too many children.”

She also said she was jealous with the amount of time her husband was spending with the newborn.

Koistinen is being held on a secured bond of $1 million.

Actor Odun' Adekola Shuns Landlord Summon Over Assault On Students

We have reliably been informed by sources that 'bad boy' Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, shunned a planned meeting at the instance of landlords of Adigbe, Abeokuta, Ogun State, yesterday. 

The meeting was called to intervene into an alleged assault by the actor and his thugs on some students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) last week Sunday. 

Odun had allegedly assaulted and also detained the students on Sunday after an argument between them. The student had reportedly told him to put off a 'noisy' generator he was using for a movie shoot near their house. The students were then preparing for their exams on Monday, but Odun not only allegedly beat them, he detained them. 

It took the landlords to bail the students from the police custody on Monday. 

We are still digging into the story. Odun has still refused to answer our calls to him on the issue.

Man shoots masked Thief dead only to discover it was his teen son

A man shot and killed a burglar only to discover later that the killed burglar is his son, according to reports.

The man fatally shot a masked teen in self-defense in his neighbor's house for what seemed to be a robbery attempt early morning and then discovered it was his son, state police said.

Police identified the dead boy as 15-year-old Tyler Giuliano, who was shot at about 1 am Thursday in New Fairfield, Connecticut, a town along the line of New York, just north of Danbury.

A woman who was alone in the house thought someone was breaking and called the father of the teenager, who lives next door. He took a gun and went to investigate, police said. The father confronted the persom who was wearing a black ski mask and black dress then fired his weapon when the person came to him with a shiny weapon in hand, police said.

When police arrived, the father was sitting on the grass next to the house of the woman and the teenager was lying on the roadway with gunshot wounds. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

"After all this is a tragedy," state police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance said. The teenager's father, Jeffrey Giuliano, a fifth grade teacher in the city, did not return a message seeking comment on what happened.

The boy was a student at New Fairfield High School, a short walk from the area where he was killed. School Superintendent Alicia Roy sent an email to parents about what happened, the local newspaper reported. "Our district has experienced a tragedy that has affected us deeply," he wrote, adding that students were not informed of the death, because all the facts were not clear.

No charges have been filed. State police are investigating. An autopsy is planned on the child.

How Assassins Entered Funsho Williams’ House to Kill Him – Witness

A Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Forensics, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Ovie Oyokomino, yesterday gave a vivid description on how assassins gained entry into the late Funsho Williams’ apartment. Williams was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State in 2003.

Oyokomino, a prosecution witness, told the trial judge, Justice Adeniyi Adebajo, of a Lagos High Court that the perishable evidence such as blood samples as well as sample extracted from the diseased’s eye got bad due to interrupted power supply in the course of refrigerating.

He told the court that he visited the scene of the crime at about 12:30pm following a call from the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone II. He disclosed that a green rope that was notched in various places was used by the killers to gain access into Williams’ duplex. The witness said: “The assailants gained entry into his apartment (his wing of a twin duplex) from the unoccupied second wing of the twin duplex.

“They used a green colour nylon rope notched in a number of places for easy usage to descend into the deceased’s apartment. We collected the rope, mattress, containing shoe print, cushion in the living room that had shoe print.

We also found a blood stained Kong sleeve shirt, pink in colour, in a Samsonite suitcase in the third room.”

According to him, a mattress and cushion containing shoe prints were collected from the deceased’s house at Corporation Drive, Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, adding that a blood stained pink coloured shirt was found in a Samsonite suitcase in the third bedroom.

He said: “I got there at about 12:30pm with my men. There were many people there. We could hardly get into the scene with our vehicle.

“The deceased was in a lying position on the floor; his arms were tied behind him. His head region was under the bed and we observed blood around the head on the floor. “He was wearing a multicoloured Ankara in ‘Buba and Sokoto. The Sokoto had shifted and thereby revealing white under pant. There was evidence of ransacking the whole upstairs including, the family’s living room and master bedroom.

“We processed for finger prints, shoe prints and noted the position of things considered to be relevant for our forensic work, which included one empty scab board without the dagger.

“We did not move the body from the position we found it. The pathologist who subsequently moved the body discovered the dagger under it.” The witness noted that there was a manhole in the ceiling which was a concrete ceiling, saying: “An opening of 2×2 covered with a plywood board was made in the ceiling. The manhole was just two feet from the dividing wall of the duplexes and it was similar to the other side. The building has a common roof’’.

According to Oyokomino, the police at that time relied on the mode of entry into the apartment to effect arrest and two suspects, who had previously broken into apartment in similar pattern, were nabbed. He said DNA materials were collected from the suspects and tested in a forensic laboratory in Britain, adding that the suspects were later released after the DNA report exonerated them.

Besides, Oyokomino told the court that Investigating Police Officer (IPO) in charge of the case later came back with suspects apprehended with the cell phone of the deceased, which was removed the day the incident occurred. The witness said: “We obtained the blood sample from the suspects while in detention. Samples were sent for DNA profile, which was reported inconclusive.

This was reported to the prosecuting counsel who immediately set in motion to obtain fresh smoke through a court order at the High Court.

“I was later informed that the judge at the time gave an order but I never saw the Certified True Copy till now. It was only recently that I learnt that the order could not be carried out because the presiding judge at that time died without signing the order she made.”

He also told the court that a fresh order had been secured from the Magistrate’s Court to obtain blood samples of the new suspects along with those of the police men who were attached to the deceased and his private security guard.
