Chen likes to party, probably a little too much. This Taiwanese truck driver often ignored his fiscal responsibility to his family, blowing all of his money at clubs with his friends instead.
Meanwhile, his wife worked full-time but couldn’t shoulder the bills without some contributions from Chen. So, she devised a financial plan of her own, using sex as leverage. For every time the couple slept together, she charged Chen $66 dollars.
This new familial arrangement worked well for a time, but then Chen got fed up with paying his wife for physical pleasures and involved the authorities. Probably not his wisest decision.
Now, Chen is paying $660 a month in legally-required familial support but at least his wife agreed to stop charging him for sex. His wife definitely got what she was looking for, but I wonder if Chen is saving any money under the new deal.
Only time will tell, but at that clip, considering what marriages cost a lot of people, maybe Chen actually had it pretty easy. Others may not pay it directly, but some people hold out sex from their significant others for personal gain.
