Davido Sells Out Tickets In Toronto Venue, Ahead of Forthcoming North American Tour

 

Nigerian Music superstar David Adeleke, who is popularly known as Davido, has announced that tickets have been SOLD OUT at the Toronto, Canada, venue for his North American Tour-titled ‘We Rise By Lifting Others’.

The award-winning singer took to Instagram to make the announcement earlier today, 21st April 2022. Recall, we had reported that Davido was set to go on his North American Tour. The Tour will kick off in Brooklyn (New York, USA) and go through, Toronto (Ontario, Canada), Boston (Massachusetts, USA), Chicago (Illinois, USA) and end in Los Angeles (California, USA).

It is also reported that the sold out tickets sold for as much as $416. Which is a contrast to some initial buyers who said they purchased ticket to the event for $58. Price went up

Wizkid replies Banky W over wedding absence remarks

 

Banky W and his wife Adesua Etomi were guests at Ebuka's BlackBox interview series.

In his usual manner, the music star left a short message on his Twitter page as a response to Banky W's interview.

"LOL," he tweeted.

Banky W had revealed that he was disappointed with the former EME signee for not showing up at his wedding.

"Was I disappointed that he wasn't at the wedding? I was but I know he tried because there was a show with a lot of the artists...I think it was One Africa," he said.

"As a matter of fact Tiwa ended up...there was business class and she took economy seat so she could make it. But he called at the time that he was so sorry."

Nigerian music star Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W has revealed how he felt about Wizkid's absence at his wedding.

Banky W and Adesua Etomi had one of the most talked about weddings in the entertainment space back in 2017.

In a recent chat with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the BlackBox interview series, the singer turned politician revealed that he was disappointed with the former EME signee for not showing up at his wedding.

"Was I disappointed that he wasn't at the wedding? I was but I know he tried because there was a show with a lot of the artists...I think it was One Africa," he said.

"As a matter of fact Tiwa ended up...there was business class and she took economy seat so she could make it. But he called at the time that he was so sorry."

He also spoke about Wizkid's contract with EME and how he made his exit from the record label easy devoid of drama.

He also said Wizkid left the label without fullfilling his part in the contract.

"I think it was a 5 album deal and he had done 2 solo albums... I think he still owed 3 more albums but he wanted to leave. And for me, that was enough because I don't want anybody to stay where they want to stay." he said.

Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 2009.

He released two albums 'StarBoy' and 'Ayo' under the record label.

He left the label in 2014.

Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has some of her close friends organise a beautiful bridal shower over the weekend.

The movie star and her partner Fidelis Anosike got engaged earlier in the week.

The private event saw some of Hollywood's screen goddesses in attendance.

From Ego Boyo, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw, Dakore Egbuson-Akande to Mo Abudu, Joke Silva, Chioma Chukwuka, Michelle Dede, it was indeed a beautiful evening filled with fun and laughter.

Dominic and Anosike will reportedly be getting married in Imo state on April 18th and 19th this year.

It would be recalled that on Boxing Day, 2020, Dominic sent social media into a frenzy when she shared some cosy photos with her partner, Anosike.

Dominic's partner, Anosike, is the founder of Folio Media Group, a multi-media company that owns Daily Times Nigeria (founded 1926), the country’s oldest newspaper.

In a recent interview, the actress explained the reason she decided to show off her partner on social media.

"I couldn’t love you less Husby @ritadominic .. Congratulations Ree. You deserve all the joy in this world. Your heart is so sweet and I am so blessed to have you in my corner. God bless your union... This is a dream come true for us all ❤️❤️❤️💃💃💃💃💃," Ini Edo wrote as she shared photos from the event via her Instagram page.
