WIZKID vs EME….. THE REAL ISSUE?

Everyday we get informations about the Wizkid vs EME saga, this information was going around on bbm today, and its worth looking at.. So check this out..
Wizkid already put a lot of the hard work on the talent side before he met EME. From 2009 onwards, EME focused on the branding, artist development, marketing and promotions of Wizkid. (True fact)
Within and outside of Nigeria, there was NO LEGAL CONTRACT signed between EME and Wizkid. (Alleged)
. About March 2012, when fans and the public screamed in excitement about the EME Wizkid UK Tour, Wizkid still did not have a legal contract. However, as a condition to perform in the UK and to get visas granted, the hosting country (UK) required a record contract evidencing Wizkid was signed to EME. EME, in a rush, put a contract together for Wizkid. (Alleged)
. The EME-Wizkid contract (the first signing of a record deal) had a term requiring a album deal. They promised this contract will be amended to the “real contract” later. (Alleged)
Wizkid signed the 7 Album contract, without reading the terms. (Alleged)
Prior to the signing, monies were split between the two in a 50/50 way i.e. monies made from concerts/ tours were split evenly. (Alleged)
In April of 2012, EME announced a joint deal, in a press statement, with Akon’s Konvict. EME claimed Akon would “produce and release Wizkid worldwide” while EME managed Wizkid in Nigeria. (True Fact)
Before we could blink, all of a sudden, Wizkid signed a management deal with Tinie Tempah in the UK. Really? (True Fact)
Banky W & EME allegedly never negotiated or agreed to such a deal. Wizkid directly negotiated and signed with Tinie Tempah. (Alleged)
Wizkid fronts his own label “Star Boy” under the blessings and umbrella of the EME label. (Alleged)
As it stands, the relationship between the EME crew and Wizkid has deteriorated to the point where Wizkid no longer speaks to members of the EME team, including Banky W. All correspondences are filtered through his new manager Godwin Tom (Alleged).
Wizkid wants more money and he wants out i.e. reduce the 7 Album deal.

Willow Smith Drops Out of Jay-Z’s Annie Remake

It’s a hard-knock life for the producers of .
Willow Smith will no longer play the lead in her father  and Jay-Z’s film remake of the classic musical,  from Smith’s company Overbrook Entertainment confirms. Producers site production delays and the “Whip My Hair” ‘s age as the reason for her bowing out of the project.
“Willow was nine years old when we started developing this project, and has since grown out of the role,” the statement reads. But the company and Jay-Z, who is a producing partner on the project and is also writing new songs for it,  that losing Willow does not mean the film has been shelved. In fact, rumors are swirling that both 9-year-old Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis and‘ Amandla Stenberg are being considered for the part.
Jay-Z said in a statement: “For [my company] Marcy Media’s first foray into film, we couldn’t ask for better partners and mentors than Overbrook Entertainment. We are excited to work with [director] Will Gluck and  Pictures Entertainment. My well-known affinity for the classic “Hard Knock Life” makes Annie a natural vehicle to lead us into the world of the cinema

Whitney Houston’s Brother Admits to Introducing Her to Crack

Michael Houston makes painful confession about his late sister’s drug use.
For years  has been blamed by the public for causing Whitney Houston’s battle with drug addiction, but last night the person  responsible for introducing the  to drugs came forward.
In his first televised interview since his sister’s passing  a year ago, Michael Houston confessed to Oprah  that he played a major role in Whitney’s introduction to drugs. During his appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter, Michael owned up to being the first person to do crack cocaine with his sister back in the 1980s.
Houston blamed their use of the drug on the free-wheeling  party scene that didn’t eschew such activities during that time.
“You gotta understand at the time…the ’80s…it was acceptable,” he explained as he sat next to his weeping mother, Cissy.
“It’s painful…I feel responsible for what I let go so far.”
Michael admits he turned to drugs to help him cope with his sister’s death, but he has now been clean for the last three months.
Whitney Houston drowned to death in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel on February 11, 2012. The coroner’s report revealed that heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors to her passing.

Chris Brown Shuts Down Instagram Account

The singer signs off from a social media site yet   brawl with Frank Ocean.
Instagram that….
Chris Brown seems to have had yet another social media meltdown of sorts, shutting down his Instagram account after his much-reported brawl with Frank Ocean.
His @f–kyopictures Instagram page, recently home to some  pics of the singer with Rihanna, has come up blank since Sunday (Jan. 27), when news of his run-in with Ocean in L.A. broke. Earlier in the day, he posted a pic of Jesus being crucified, saying he was “painting the way I feel.” Then he posted pictures containing the following messages: “Social media takes away the essence of  are even special or icons. So with that, I’m detaching myself from that world…Elevate yourself above the negative and if it doesn’t work, move on! I respect myself  as well as my fans to wanna be great!”
Brown’s Twitter page is  active, though it’s “ran by the team,” he explained. His team has apparently been slacking however, as his Twitter feed hasn’t been updated since Jan. 25, before the fight.
This isn’t Brown’s first online tantrum. Back in November, Brown deleted his Twitter after having a vulgar online argument with comedian Jenny Johnson. He did the same in 2009 after telling the music industry to “kiss my a—.”
Isn’t it ironic how smartphones can lead to so much not-smart behavior?

Rihanna on Chris Brown: “We Value Each Other”

If  got annoyed over questions about her reunion with ex-boyfriend  during her Complex cover story, she definitely didn’t keep answers to herself for her latest magazine feature. As  Stone’s cover girl, the singer dished on turning a new leaf with Breezy despite the criticisms.
“I decided it was more important for me to ,” she said. “I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
She also addressed the 2009 incident that led the two to break up after Brown hit . The singer explained that they no longer have those heated arguments anymore and instead have learned to talk through their issues.
“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world,” says. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now,” she said. “We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about s–t. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”
That said,  says she’s ready to put her foot  and leave Breezy if he ever shows violent side again.
“He doesn’t have the luxury of f–king up again,” she said. “That’s just not an option.  say that nothing else will ever go . But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”
“He made a mistake, and he’s paid his dues,”  adds. “He’s paid so much. And I know that’s not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing.”
‘s issue of Rolling Stone hits newsstands January 31.

Lil Wayne Cut Off His Dreadlocks

A photo  Big Boi’s party shows off  sporting super short hair.
has been known for his signature long dreadlocks, but a new photo taken during Big Boi’s  bash at Thursday’s MaddenBowl suggests that the rapper chopped  off. Perhaps Weezy wanted to shed the weight and try out a new image?
The rapper’s drastically shorter look has everyone buzzing and even  hesitant to buy into the idea that Lil Wayne really did shed his dreads saying he’s merely tied them back.
During his performance at MaddenBowl XIX in New Orleans’ Bud Light Hotel, he kept his head with a hat, but Big Boi’s recent photo showed off Wayne’s super short do.
What do you think of Lil Wayne with short hair? Could you get  to it?

50 Cent Planning Animated Series

The hip  mogul is nearing a deal with FOX for a cartoon about his .

We’re still not sure if we’ll ever see another  Cent album — that Feb. 26 release date for Street King Immortal is already looking iffy — but at least we may get a  Cent cartoon.
According to Deadline.com, FOX is in talks for an animated comedy project from , producer Randall Emmett, Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV. The as-yet-untitled project is expected to receive a pilot or presentation order.  by Carl Jones, the show, loosely based on ‘s childhood, will reportedly focus on an adventurous but good-hearted boy and his run-ins with his off-kilter family and neighborhood. The show will be executive-produced by , his producing partner Andrew Jameson, Jones, Emmett and Imagine TV’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.
It’ll be ‘s second semi-autobiographical project: In 2005 he released and starred in the street drama Get Rich or Die Tryin’, in which  made his acting debut as the lead. He also has upcoming roles in The Frozen Ground and The Tomb.
Emmett and  have worked together for years — he even ran  Cent’s former company Cheetah Vision for a bit. The two are also partnering up to executive-produce Power, a drama about a shady New York nightclub owner, which is in development at Starz.

Don’t take loyalty for stupidity – Wizkid (So Wizkid & E.M.E records part ways?)

anything to go by.Rumours have it that Wizkid has parted ways with the Banky W led  record label.
On of the pointers was his absence at the Lagos  Concert on New Year Eve, despite an excuse by Banky W that the young singer was ill, even as sources say he was in far-away UK, having a swell time.
Wizkid, who parted ways with his long time manager and friend Osagie Osarenkhoe, in September 2012, is said to be dissatisfied with his contract agreement and sharing quota within the label.
A major indication of the possible crack is that his Twitter Bio now reads, Management @DisturbingLDN @Godwin Tom with no mention whatsoever of EME Records.
Although both parties are yet to put out any word concerning the matter, Banky W shut down these reports early this week, describing it as a mere rumour. In a recent interview, he was quoted as saying that Wizkid is still very much part of EME family. He also added that all Wizzy has an management and recording contract with British rapper, Tinie Tempah’s London outfit and Akon’s Konvict Records respectively.
With various reports stating that  is offering the singer a more flexible contract they him, it is therefore unlikely that his anticipated album will be dropped on the EME imprint.
Also, the 23-year-old superstar, who spent the most part of 2012 touring Europe, Asia and America, had at the beginning of this year acquired a house in Lekki, Lagos. The move was been attributed to the fact that the singer had an argument concerning his new home and  his the EME label according to the unconfirmed report.
If it is true that both parties have parted ways, it will no doubt be a case of another failed relationship which brings to mind other examples such as the Psquare/May D, Eva/ elDee as well as the Mo’Hits split.

Is Wizkid Parting Ways With E.M.E Records?

Looks like we are about to witness another major break-up in the Nigerian music industry after the famous D’banj/Don Jazzy break up, with reports of Wizkid parting ways with E.M.E.
The story all around the music industry suggests that Wizkid has parted ways with E.M.E record label controlled by Banky W.
An insight on this was Wizkid’s absence at the Lagos Countdown Concert on New Year Eve, even though Banky W claimed Starboy was sick, as other sources reported contradicting stories of Wizkid partying in the United Kingdom.
Wizkid, who parted ways with his long time manager and friend Osagie Osarenkhoe, in September 2012, is said to be dissatisfied with his contract agreement and sharing quota within the label.
Another obvious indication of the possible music break-up is that his Twitter Bio now reads, Management @DisturbingLDN @Godwin Tom with no mention whatsoever of E.M.E Records.
Both parties have not put out a direct word regarding this matter, as Banky W squashed the break-up reports earlier this week in a recent interview, saying “Wizkid is still very much part of the E.M.E family“.
He also added that Wizzy has  an international management and recording contract with British rapper, Tinie Tempah’s Disturbing London outfit and Akon’s  Konvict Records respectively.
There have been reports stating that Konvict music is offering Wizkid a more lucrative offer than what E.M.E is offering, which explains why the singer decided not to drop an album again this year and opted for the mixtape instead.
If this report of their break up is true, then this goes a long way to explain what our music industry in Nigeria is turning into, where loyalty is continually questioned.

9 stages of love all couples go through

Do you remember the first fight or angry disagreement you and your partner had? For the first time ever in the relationship, both of you confront each other over a conflict, even though it’s sorted out quickly.
Relationships are unique.
And one experience of love is never ever the same.
You may have been in several relationships in your life, and all of them may have been very different from the earlier one.
But there are a few traits about every single relationship that binds all relationships along a similar path.
Relationship stages in your love life
Relationships, just like life, have their own stages. It starts off with infatuation and goes through several stages along the way.
And these stages are like tests that check your compatibility with each other.
Go wrong anywhere along the way, and your relationship will take the brunt of the fall.
Have you ever met a couple who seemed like they were going to stay together forever, but ended up breaking up a few years later?
Perhaps, in all probability, they went wrong in one of these stages of the relationship.
The 9 relationship stages that all couples experience
Are you in a new relationship? Or are you in a seasoned relationship with someone you’ve been with for several years?
It doesn’t matter how long your relationship has lasted, because all the relationships will fit snugly in one of these relationship stages.
Find your own relationship stage here, and it’ll definitely help you understand your own love life better.
Stage #1 The infatuation stage. This is the first stage in every relationship. It almost always starts with an intense attraction and an uncontrollable urge to be with each other. Both of you may be intensely sexually attracted to each other, or both of you may just love the cuddles and each other’s company. In this stage, both of you overlook any flaws of each other and only focus on the good sides.
Stage #2 The understanding stage. In this stage, both of you start getting to know each other better. You have long conversations with your partner that stretches late into the night, and everything about your partner interests and fascinates you. You talk about each other’s families, exes, likes and dislikes and other innocent secrets, and life seems so beautiful and romantic.
Stage #3 The stage of disturbances. This stage usually forces its way into a happy romance after a few months of blissful courting. Do you remember the first fight or angry disagreement you and your partner had? For the first time ever in the relationship, both of you confront each other over a conflict, even though it’s sorted out quickly.
Stage #4 The opinion maker. In this stage, both of you create opinions about each other. As the months pass by, both of you know what to expect from each other, and you make an assumption about your partner’s commitment towards the relationship.
When these opinions and expectations about your partner differ now and then in real life, it can either leave you ecstatic or depressed.
You don’t expect your man to buy you flowers, but he does. You feel ecstatic. At the same time, you expect him to pick you up from the airport on time. But he arrives an hour later because he forgot all about picking you up. It depresses you.
Stage #5 The moulding stage. You have your own expectations from an ideal partner. And in this stage, both of you try hard to mould each other to fit your own wants in a perfect partner. This stage is a lot about give and take, and both partners constantly try to subtly convince each other to change their behavior towards the relationship. This is a power struggle, and one that can end the relationship if both partners are domineering.
Stage #6 The happy stage. If the relationship survives past the moulding stage, both of you may have changed equally for each other and understood each other’s expectations. In this stage, the relationship cruises along perfectly and both of you may be blissfully happy with each other.
Almost always, this is the stage when both of you feel like a perfect match. You may even decide to get engaged or get married. This happy stage is also the stage of attachment when both of you truly feel connected to each other and love each other intensely.
Stage #7 The stage of doubts. It’s been several years since both of you have been in a relationship with each other. And somewhere along the way, doubts start to creep in. The intensity of the doubts depend on how happy both of you are in the relationship.
You start to think of your past relationships, your exes, and other prospective partners. You tie your happiness in life with your relationship. If you’re unhappy, you blame it on the relationship.
In this stage, you start comparing your relationship with other couples and other relationships. Would your relationship survive this stage? It definitely could, as long as your relationship isn’t monotonous and repetitive.
Stage #8 The sexual exploration or bust stage. This is the stage when your sex life starts to play a pivotal role. Both your sex drives may change or one of you may get disinterested in sex.
In this stage, you either give up on passionate sex or constantly look for ways to make sex more exciting. If sexual interests start differing here, one of you may end up having an affair. But on the other hand, if you find creative ways to make sex more exciting, your relationship could get better and bring both of you a lot closer.
Stage #9 The stage of complete trust. This is the happy stage when both of you love each other and trust each other completely. But at the same time, the unbreakable trust in each other could also turn into taking each other for granted.
In this stage, both of you know the direction of the relationship and both of you are completely happy with each other and find it easy to predict each other’s behavior and decisions. But with stability in love comes the urge to take each other for granted.
As pleasant as this final stage of love may be, it’s still no excuse to take each other lightly or stop appreciating each other, because love is an intense emotion that can be rekindled by anyone else at any time if you fail to express your romance to your lover.
If you’re in a relationship for a while, you may have experienced all or most of these relationship stages. And if you’re still in a young love, don’t let the dark side of these relationship stages scare you.
Instead, look at these 9 relationship stages as stepping stones into a better future, one that’s filled with a lot of love and happiness, just as long as both of you remember to keep love alive all the time.

10 Tips for Starting a New Relationship

Special Offer
When we’ve been burned in a relationship, we go into new relationships a little more wary. “That’s a two-edged sword,” says relationship coach Amy Schoen. While being street-smart can help you avoid making the same mistake the next time, “It can also keep you so hyper alert to possible problems that you don’t give yourself to a relationship,” Schoen says. Here are some tips to help you when you're ready to try again.

10 TIPS FOR STARTING A NEW RELATIONSHIP

1. Settle the past. Work with a therapist to understand how and why you picked your failed marriage.

2. Realize you can make a choice. OK. Something bad happened. You are not a victim. You can and will move on.

3. Learn who’s safe and not safe and how to be safe. Once fooled, twice smart. Learn the early warning signs that someone lacks integrity and construct proper boundaries to keep people like that far from your heart.

4. Get clear about your expectations. What do you want for yourself? What are you moving toward? Know what your values are and be clear about what you’re looking for in a relationship. Then, be bold about not settling for less.

5. Realize there are wonderful people everywhere. Uh huh, you ended up with a world class schmuck AND the world is full of really great people.

6. Learn where to go to meet people who enjoy the same things you do. If you like to dance, take dance lessons. If you like to hike, join a trail club.

7. Hold off on the séx. Give yourself time to get to know someone before jumping in the sack.
Sociologist Dr. Edward Lauman’s research found that 85 percent of couples had known each other at least 30 days before having séx and 45 percent waited at least a year.

8. Check out their “fit.” How are they around your family and friends? How comfortable are you around theirs?

9. Pay attention to their overall behavior. Is this person an “easy keeper” or is your relationship full of drama? Are there periodic temper tantrums? Regular “flake sessions?” If so, next!

10. Listen to your gut. You have a built-in radar that alerts you when something is up. So, listen to and honor your intuition.
