Disgraced cheat Armstrong sells his $10M mansion where he told Oprah about his 'big lie' for a huge

Disgraced former cyclist Lance Armstrong is liquidating some assets amid the Texas-sized legal woes that may end up costing him the lion's share of his ill-gotten gains.
Armstrong is selling his palatial home near Austin, Texas, potentially freeing up a few million bucks that various plaintiffs will surely try to retrieve for themselves. Among those suing Armstrong is the Department of Justice, which seeks tens of millions of taxpayer dollars that went toward sponsoring Armstrong's corrupt U.S. Postal Service cycling team.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, businessman Al Koehler filed a deed of trust in Travis County last week showing that he obtained a $3.1 million loan to buy Armstrong's plush estate on the edge of town. Koehler, an oil-and-gas rights agent, told the newspaper he paid nothing close to the property's listed value of $10 million.
Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles last year and is banned for life from sports. In a January appearance on Oprah Winfrey's network he confessed that his cycling career was "one big lie," but has yet to make a full accounting of his deceptions.
Mark Higgins, a spokesman for Armstrong, confirmed to the Associated Press the sale of the Austin estate and said Armstrong plans to remain a resident of the city.
Armstrong recently asked a Texas court to dismiss a lawsuit against him from SCA Promotions, which seeks to reclaim $12 million Armstrong took from it in the settlement of an arbitration case in which Armstrong swore under oath that he never doped.
Other parties have come forward with various claims, including one that alleges Armstrong defrauded people who bought the books he co-wrote with Sally Jenkins of the Washington Post.

In his high-flying career as a record-smashing athlete and icon to cancer survivors, Armstrong also had homes in Aspen, Spain and the south of France. He hobnobbed with Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, dated Sheryl Crow and flew around in private jets. He appeared to win seven Tour de France titles and claimed, stridently and under oath, to be squeaky clean.
"To the people who don't believe in cycling, the cynics and the skeptics," he said from the Tour de France podium in 2005. "I'm sorry for you. I'm sorry that you can't dream big. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles."
All along, Armstrong's performances were fueled by banned drugs like testosterone and EPO, as well as illicit blood transfusions carried out in hotels and, according to sworn testimony, the U.S. Postal Service's team bus. Dozens of people had first-hand knowledge that the Armstrong story was a lie, and many of them profited handsomely from it while Armstrong sued and smeared anyone who whispered their suspicions.
A federal investigation began in early 2010, around the time that Armstrong's former teammate, Floyd Landis, began blowing the whistle on all the corruption. A grand jury probe produced sworn testimony and mountains of evidence but mysteriously ended in January of 2012. Then the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency stepped up and charged Armstrong with doping.
After vigorously trying to fend USADA off — Armstrong found members of Congress sympathetic to his fight — Armstrong finally accepted defeat late last summer. His sponsors jumped ship, his cancer foundation was forced to sever ties and the lawsuits started rolling in the door.

Couple caught having sèx in car minutes after leaving Easter church service

One couple has celebrated Easter in way more associated with rabbits than Easter bunnies.
Georgia couple Jamel Grant, 26, and Michel Felix Casas, 21, were busted having sex in their parked Nissan 350Z just minutes after leaving an Easter Sunday church service.
Cops say they caught Casas performing oral sex on Grant in the front driver's seat of the car they'd parked up in the Kroger Grocery Store lot, in Gwinnett County, just before midnight.
Grant was naked from the waist down and Casas' breasts were exposed. There was also a strong smell of marijuana.
They told officers they were "making out" and had just been to church, where they said they attended the Easter Service.
The Smoking Gun reports the pair were charged with public indecency, loitering, prowling and marijuana possession.
It's unknown whether they had in fact been to a service, due to the time they were allegedly caught.

PHOTOS: Nicki Minaj Steps Out in Leopard Print Maxi Dress & Thigh High Bondage-style Gladiator Heels

She wears some pretty revealing bikinis in her latest racy music video, High School.
But in new images to promote her new music, Nicki Minaj is slightly more covered up.
However, the 30-year-old singer still makes sure to put her famous curves on show.

In new pictures posted on her Twitter page, the American Idol judge is seen posing in a very tight Robert Cavalli leopard print maxi dress.
The plunging patterned figure-hugging ensemble clings to her every contour and features slits up the side to reveal a pair of bondage-style gladiator heels which buckle right up to her thighs.
Posing outside of a Los Angeles mansion, Nicki makes sure to draw attention to her famous derriere as she does an over the shoulder pose.

The songstress has her platinum blonde hair out in a sleek and straight style and she wears Barbie pink lipstick on her pout

Nicki recently shot her new music video with rapper Lil’ Wayne.
Though she shows off her curvy figure in provocative attire during the shoot, it’s not quite as scandalous as many Barbz would expect.
Barbie girl: The songstress has her platinum blonde hair out in a sleek and straight style and she wears Barbie pink lipstick on her pout
For the video, she plays a drug lord’s girlfriend who plans on stealing from the character Weezy portrays.
The clip starts with a steamy introduction, leading fans to believe that she and the 30-year-old rapper are going to lock lips in a passionate embrace.
Yet, there’s a kicker – as close as the two come to kissing each other, they never actually brush lips.
New video: Lil’ Wayne features in Nicki’s new music video, High School
‘Wayne said we had to kiss for the video. He was like, one thing that’s going to sell it is if we really kiss. I’m like, ehh,’ Minaj admitted to MTV.
‘Not only is he my boss, but he’s also like my brother.
‘It’s very weird because I’m just used to Wayne making fun of me, and all of Young Money boys making fun of me, so every time they yelled ‘Cut!’ I was just being picked on,’ she added.
Yet, Minaj also revealed that Wayne has a softer side to him, one that most people may not recognize.
In the bedroom: The pair almost share a kiss in the clip.
When discussing the shoot for their intimate scenes, she explained: ‘He refused to touch me, he’s so respectful.’
The ‘southern gentleman’ – as she called him – would only touch her if she verbally acknowledged that it was alright for him to do so.
The High School video featuring Lil Wayne was shot before he was rushed to hospital after suffering seizures.
The Lollipop hitmaker has since left the hospital, recently writing: ‘Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home….God is great (sic)’.
He also confirmed he is epileptic and says his recent bout of attacks earlier this month nearly finished him off after his heart rate decreased to ’30 per cent’.
Bathing beauty: Nicki slips into an array of revealing bathing suits in the clip.

My Wife Told Me She Was A Vírgin But I Found Out She’s Had Anál Séx

What does it mean to be a vírgin in 2013?
I am a newlywed husband and I want to express my concern and hurt I felt when I found out the wife I thought was a virgín wasn't. She told me she was a vírgin prior to our getting married. However, I recently found out she's had anál séx.
I was very shocked and disappointed. I asked her if that means she wasn't a virgín when we got married, and she insisted she was. I feel as if the integrity of our relationship foundation has been compromised.
What do you think I should do? Everything I though was true just isn't anymore. I feel devastated. How do I move on?

Kelly Rowland Ignores Keyshia Cole

Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland has brushed off Keyshia Cole’s remarks about Beyonce’s new single ‘Bow Down’. A few days after the release of Queen B’s single, Keyshia Cole went on Twitter to blast the song as anti-feminine.
I think silence is the best power because you don’t have to say nothing. They did all the talk. Just talk, keep talking. But I don’t think that it’s important to fire back ’cause you’re just fueling the fire. You don’t have to do that. It’s just ridiculous. We too grown for that stuff’, said Kelly Rowland during a recent radio interview on Power 105 Breakfast Club.
Kelly Rowland’s former group mates Beyonce and Michelle Williams will appear with her on a record offTalk a Good Game- her next album. ‘It’s not a Destiny’s Child track, it’s me featuring Beyonce and Michelle,’ Kelly told Billboard Magazine.

NFF sacks Keshi’s Togolese assistant, others

The Nigeria Football Federation has downsized the national teams as was announced late Tuesday. One of the assistant coaches of the Super Eagles Sylvanus Okpala was the first to receive his letter but that was quickly followed by a longer list of personnel dropped from the team on Wednesday. Valerie Hounandinuou was among the nine Eagles back-room staff who were relieved of their jobs afterwards.
Hounandinuou is the Togolese who joined the Eagles back-room staff in November 2011 when Stephen Keshi was employed as the national coach.
The chairman of the NFF’s Media Committee Chief Emeka Inyama said that Keshi could retain Hounandinuou provided he could afford to pay him.
But in what appears to be a shift from the earlier official media release from the Federation on Tuesday, Keshi may not be affected by the rationalisation steps. The coach is likely to retain his salary as he agreed with the NFF on the day he was appointed as the coach of the team. Even though it was first announced that all the national team coaches would have their salaries slashed, Inyama told The PUNCH on Wednesday that the Federation would respect the contract it has with Keshi.
He said, “Yes we have cut down on the back-room staff but Keshi’s salary is not in the areas we are looking at. He has a contract with us so we have no reason to disrespect that contract.”
The NFF took the decision following its Technical and Development Committee meeting on Tuesday, and reduced the 17-man team to nine.
Some of those affected include Anderson Elderson (video analyst); Robinson Okosun (Psychologist); Emmanuel Attah (Team Coordinator) and Ben Alaiya (Media Officer). Demola Olajire, who is the NFF’s spokesperson, will take charge of the media role. The team Security Officer Gideon Akinsola has also been dropped.
The NFF also reduced the back-room staff of the other national teams, the Flying Eagles and the Golden Eaglets, to seven from 17. The Golden Eaglets left for Morocco before the changes were implemented but the NFF General Secretary Mr. Musa Amadu explained that the implementation as regards the team would take place when they return from the African competition.
“They can’t certainly go to the World Cup with the entire crew. We can’t drag them back from Morocco but the changes will be made as soon as they return,” he said

I’d like to play against Messi – Moses

Chelsea attacker Victor Moses has identified Leo Messi as one of the players he would like to play against. The Nigerian made his thoughts known on Wednesday in Moscow as his club prepare for their Europa League clash against Rubin Kazan on Thursday.
He said, “One player I would like to play against is Leo Messi.”
Moses, who is expected to star in tonight’s game, said he hoped to do his best against the Russians. He admitted not knowing much about the Russian league but expects quite a tough challenge from their opponents.
He said, “I’m a new player here and just want to do as well as I can and play as many games as I can. To be honest I don’t know a lot. What I have seen, it is a great league here. We’re here to try to win the game tomorrow night, they have good strikers and they will be in our faces from the start of the game.
“We just need to get our noses in front and try to win the game. It won’t be an easy task but we’re looking forward to it and if we can score an early goal that will be great for us.
“Rubin is a great team. They have quality players that can win games for them, we need to concentrate and do our best tomorrow (Thursday). We’ll try to win tomorrow night. They will be in our face from the start of the game. We’re looking forward to it.”
The Super Eagles striker said he is looking forward to Sunday’s FA Cup clash against Manchester City but wants to concentrate on Rubin Kazan challenge first.
“We’re focused (on Rubin), it’s a massive game for us. City doesn’t come until Sunday.”

Oshiomhole to run in Okpekpe Race

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has registered to feature in the inaugural edition of the Okpekpe International 10km Road Race scheduled to hold on May 4 in the state.
Special Adviser to the governor on sports, Mike Itemuagbor, confirmed on Tuesday that the governor sent in his entry form last weekend.
“The governor is very excited about the Okpekpe race. He has promised to complete the race,” said Itemuagbor who is the initiator of the race aimed at exposing the Okpekpe and its environs to athletes of repute from the globe.
The Athletic Federation of Nigeria has confirmed receiving entries from Kenya and Ethiopia for the 10km race that will witness top runners from the continent.
Assistant Secretary of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Olufemi Ajao, has confirmed the entries from both Kenya and Ethiopia even as he said discussions were going on with managers of top road runners globally.
“Apart from the entries from Kenya and Ethiopia, we have received inquiries from managers of some of the top road runners in Africa concerning the race. We are very certain that some established road runners are going to be part of this inaugural edition,” Ajao said.
The best athlete will go home with $25,000, while the second to the eight-placed runners in both the men’s and women’s categories will also win cash from the organisers. Winner of the Edo indigene category will get N100,000 with second and third finishers also listed for prizes.

Gunmen kill businessman during robbery

A businessman , Mr. Caleb Nwaozuru, has met an untimely death during an armed robbery attack at Ishaga, Surulere.
The husband and father of four, had allegedly gone to buy fuel when he was attacked by robbers at Ishaga, near Itire.
Nwaozuru was said to have last spoken with his wife Chikaodi at about 7.49pm on the day (March 24) while leaving Agboju, Festac after a prayer meeting.
He had driven himself in his ML 430 SUV and was headed for his office at Jibowu to pick up some money before coming home.
“By 9pm when Nwaozuru had neither returned home nor called, Chikaodi called him. When he didn’t answer, she initially assumed he was driving. She then called his office and a worker confirmed that Nwaozuru stopped by the office but had left for Ishaga, Surulere, to buy fuel.
A family source, which requested anonymity said, “With that Chikaodi waited a while, hoping Nwaozuru would call back. When he didn’t after several hours, she called his number again but the phone rang without an answer. Chikaodi made several failed attempts up till 12 midnight.”
As Nwaozuru was not known for keeping late nights, Chikaodi was alarmed. Despite the risk, she was said to have boarded a cab at about 12.20am in  search of her husband.
The cab was said to have driven through all his usual routes from the house to the office and then Ishaga but there was no trace of him.
Distressed, Chikaodi returned home at 1.30am. By this time, Nwaozuru’s number was no longer available.
The following day, she informed the pastor of their local church of her husband’s disappearance. The pastor accompanied her to the Aguda Police Division to make a report. After the report, Chikaodi was said to have been advised by the officers on duty to write down her contact number in the event of any update.
“About an hour later, she got a call from the police asking for her pastor’s number. Shortly after this, her pastor came over to her house to inform Chikaodi that Nwaozuru’s body had been discovered at Ishaga near Itire.
The source said, “It seemed an armed robbery attack had taken place the night before, causing the residents to place a distress call to the Area C Command, Surulere.”
Nwaozuru’s family was told that he had been dragged out of his car by the robbers and shot before they made away with his car. The body had already been deposited at the mortuary of the Lagos Mainland Hospital, Yaba.
The police had allegedly given chase and fired at the robbers who escaped and later abandoned the car at Victoria Island, Lagos.
The family source said, “We went to the mortuary to identify the body. Nwaozuru was shot at the lower part of the two thighs and on the waist. The bullet came out through the front of the lower abdomen, leaving a hole. An autopsy has already being performed on Nwaozuru at the request of the police and we are waiting for the report.”
Nwaozuru’s car, which was later handed over to his family by the police, had several bullet holes with a shattered back shield. Some weapons supposedly belonging to the robbers were also found in the car; a sledgehammer and two cutters.
There was no response from the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ngozi Braide. Her phone rang out, while text messages to her phone were not replied.

Mega Church Pastor, Oyakhilome, Incorporates Secret Company For Daughters In Caribbean Tax Haven-PRE

Secret documents link family and associates of one of Africa’s most popular pastors, Nigerian televangelist the Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, to an offshore company in the British Virgin Islands.
A business associate of the pastor says some directors in the company held shares on behalf of the pastor’s daughters, Sharon and Charlyn, who are now teenagers.
The company in question is Gmobile Nigeria Limited, an offshore firm incorporated in 2007 in a Caribbean tax haven, the British Virgin Islands, according to a cache of documents reviewed by Premium Times and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).  The shareholders listed in the documents include Oyakhilome’s wife, Anita; another pastor in his organization, Thomas Amenkhienan; a business associate, Aigobomian Inegbedion; and another British Virgin Islands’ company, GTMT International Group Limited.
Oyakhilome is founder and president of one of Africa’s largest Pentecostal churches, Believers Loveworld Inc. (aka Christ Embassy), which claims “hundreds of churches … affecting millions of people” in all the continents of the world, with a strong presence in the United Kingdom, South Africa, United States, Canada and Nigeria.
He has also set up satellite broadcast channels in the United Kingdom (LoveWorld TV), South Africa (LoveWorld SAT) and Nigeria (LoveWorld Plus). He hosts a TV show, Atmosphere for Miracles, which airs on television networks in Africa, North America, Australia, Asia and Europe, according to his church’s website.
His church has a series of business interests, the website says, that include vibrant TV and Internet ministries and a publishing outfit that churns out the popular “Rhapsody of Realities” booklet, which is like a second Bible to members of his church.
He is as controversial as he is entrepreneurial. Critics believe he is excessively flamboyant, dressing most of the time in expensive suits, top-of-the-range shirts and ties and exotic shoes.
Some of his critics have alleged that he has staged miracles, bringing forth impotent men, infertile women and people with AIDS who testified they’d been instantly healed. In the wake of controversy over faith-healing practices by Oyakhilome and other pastors, the Nigerian government banned unverified miracles from television in 2004.
His wife, Anita, is also a pastor in the church. She heads the international division of the ministry and is regularly credited with growing the church’s presence around the world.
Until now, there has never been any suggestion that she was involved in financial dealings.
Documents reviewed by ICIJ and Premium Times show that Anita Oyakhihome held 17, 750 of Gmobile’s 50,000 shares, with Amenkhienan owning 1,500 and Inegbedion 750. The fourth shareholder, GTMT International, also a British Virgin Islands’ company, owned by South African investors, held 30,000 shares.
The documents show that some of these individuals held shares in trust for two minors. The records don’t identify the minors, but Inegbedion confirmed that the minors referred to in the documents were the Oyakhilomes’ daughters, quickly adding that there was nothing wrong with that.
“Their parents bought the shares for them because they have rights to own shares,” Mr. Inegbedion said. “A day-old child has a right to own shares in companies.” He declined to say which of Gmobile directors held shares in trust for the girls.
The Oyakhilomes did not respond to emails sent to their personal and church websites.

Setting Up Gmobile
In 2007 Anita Oyakhilome and her partners retained the services of a Dubai-based company, Covenant Management Consultancy (CML), to help it register Gmobile Nigeria Limited in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), a Caribbean chain largely controlled by the United Kingdom.  On June 26, 2007, CML in turn approached BVI-based Commonwealth Trust Limited (CTL) to complete the task of setting an offshore company.
After some preliminaries — including name checks and consultation with lawyers — CML’s Susha George wrote to CTL’s Shonia Mathew on July 3 giving her the go-ahead to incorporate Gmobile. In that same two-paragraph message, George informed CTL “two shareholders of this company are minors.” She also asked whether additional documents or procedures were needed for the minors to be owners of the company.
Mathew replied the same day, saying that shares of the company could only be held in trust for the minors.
“Please note if the beneficial owners are minors, then the shares would need to be held in Trust for them until they are of age to act in that capacity,” she wrote, adding that “it may be wise to contact an attorney regarding the formalities of the company.”
Aig Inegbedion…. “Nothing wrong with the Oyakhilome girls holding shares”.
Seven days after Gmobile’s incorporation, company records show, shares were issued to Anita Oyakhilome, Amenkhienan, Inegbedion and GTMT Limited, a BVI company.
Another curious aspect of the company, which became dormant on May 1, 2009, was the makeup of its board of directors. Its first director was not a human being but another offshore company, Covenant Managers Limited, an offshore firm also set up by Dubai-based Covenant Consultancy Limited in July 2005 to offer nominee services to corporations and individuals incorporating companies in the BVI. In the offshore world, nominee directors or shareholders serve as stand-ins that allow the real people behind companies to keep their identities hidden.
As first director, Covenant Managers approved the opening of a bank account in the United Arab Emirates or any other place in the world.  It is not known in which bank the account was eventually opened nor whether it was used to move funds.
After Covenant Managers officially resigned, GTMT directors were brought on board together with Anita Oyakhilome, Inegbedion and Amenkhienan as directors. They were Willem Johannes Jacobus Van Der Merwe, Karen Ann Smith and Daniel John William Mills. Reporting by Premium Times determined that Van Der Merwe, Smith and Mills were based in South Africa but we could not ascertain how they came to be associated with the Oyakhilome clan.

Inegbedion said the idea of incorporating Gmobile in a tax haven was suggested by the South Africans, who he said argued that BVI was an ideal neutral ground for the business partnership the Oyakhilomes were forging with GTMT to carry out the business of distributing data compression software in Nigeria.

“We were looking for a neutral ground where both parties could feel safe,” Inegbedion said in a telephone interview. “So we had to go to British Virgin Islands. But it was our partners who handled the registration.”
The only South African partner Premium Times was able to track down, Karen Ann Smith, declined to comment on the formation and businesses of Gmobile.  “You are on the wrong trip, guy, as I’m not interested in talking about that business,” Mrs. Smith said on telephone.  When she was pressed for details, she said, “You are wasting my time, as I have no interest in speaking to you.”

Fleeting Appearance
Gmobile does not appear to have carried out any business in Nigeria, South Africa or the BVI.  Inegbedion and another individual who identified himself as Danny Mills made a fleeting appearance before journalists in Lagos in October 2007, almost four months after Gmobile was registered in the BVI, to say the firm was unveiling a GMobile product which allows users to maximize data storage and make an array of communications and services possible.

Danny Mills was introduced as the international sales director of Gmobile, while Inegbedion was introduced as chief operating officer of an unknown firm, LW GNet Nigeria.

Apparently, nothing has been heard of that product since that event. Today, Inegbedion introduces himself on his Facebook page as managing director of Paradigm Biz Solution Limited, a company the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission also says does not exist in its database.
Remmy Nweke, a well-regarded Lagos-based communications reporter, was among those who covered Gmobile’s press conference at the time. “Well, they came and met the media and said they were rolling out an irresistible product,” Mr. Nweke said via telephone. “But that was the last we heard of them.
They simply disappeared.”
Inegbedion said Gmobile was unable to roll out the product because the company’s partners in South Africa failed to deliver after his team, led by Anita Oyakhilome, paid $1.8 million for a distribution license.
To all appearances, Gmobile was simply a failed business venture. But other companies incorporated in tax havens such as the BVI have become known for involvement with illegal activities, including money laundering and tax evasion.

Taking advantage of the loose laws in several jurisdictions, offshore companies are easy to form in tax havens and owners can remain anonymous while using nominee directors as fronts and deploying the corporations to hide ill-gotten assets, launder funds, dodge litigation or evade taxes.  Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, for example, was convicted of stealing public funds while he was governor of the oil-rich Nigerian state of Bayelsa. The state recovered more than 17 million British pounds from him, including assets he held through Solomon and Peters Limited (a company registered in the BVI) and Santolina Investment Corp. (a company incorporated in the Seychelles). Last month, he received a presidential pardon. Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has also accused another ex-governor, Abubakar Audu, of using two offshore companies in Bermuda (another tax haven) to hide ill-gotten assets. Audu denies the allegations.

Dealing with a questionable firm

The BVI Financial Services Commission found CTL, the offshore services firm that helped the Oyakhilomes to incorporate Gmobile, to be in repeated violation of the BVI’s anti-money laundering law between 2003 and 2008.

Thomas Ward, a co-founder of CTL who has worked as a consultant to the firm since it was sold to the new owners in 2009, said the company worked hard to make sure it didn’t take on shady clients.
“We believe we chose our clients carefully and we believe they honoured their agreements with us,” he said. But at times CTL’s staff was “either deceived or previously honest customers changed.”
