Although some actresses are more controversial than others, leave the entertainment reporters to dig up all the dirt they can about them.

Here is a list of the top ten actresses who have made headlines for the wrongest reasons, from scandal to even more scandal. Doesn’t matter if the stories are true or not, these ladies kept going and never looked back. It has made them BIGGER, STRONGER AND BETTER.
Tonto Dikeh

Tonto is arguably the most scandalised actress in Nollywood. Every time her name comes up in the papers it seems to be about one controversy or the other. Some have said she found her way to stardom riding on the wings of controversies and it seems much of it is true as Tonto seems to take up roles most of her colleagues wouldn’t dare. The daring actress has played all kinds of roles, most of which bothered on near indecency and soft P0*n.

She astounded the movie world not too long ago when she revealed that it was Jimmy Jatt who deflowered her. Such is the boldness of the Rivers State born actress. There have also been rumours of her s*xual involvements with several artistes including Tuface, KC Presh, Wizkid and even Iyanya.

When she veered into music, like some of her peers have done, it was controversy galore again as many critics took her to teh cleaners, hinting the actress has nothing of a singer in her. And just recently she posted a near unclad picture of herself on Twitter with large tattoos on her back.

Nuella Njubigbo
‘Ella’ as she is fondly called by her many fans have been linked to series of romance tales within and outside the industry. The first tale that went viral was the romantic involvement with Yul Edochie and it appeared there was an element of truth in that. At least, the dashing actor once owned up to the relationship and asserted it happened long before he met his wife.

Though Nuella has come out to deny all these series of romances, however the echoes still linger. The one about her and the director, Tchidi Chikere was particularly poignant to her as her PR person had to come out and release a statement on the matter. She has also been alleged to be in a relationship with a state governor from the South-South region, which reportedly earned her a SUV. Others who have been linked with her in the past include footballer Emmanuel Emenike and a few others.

Cossy Orjiakor
Cossy has said she is one of the most misjudged persons in the entertainment industry but that does not excuse her image of ‘high octane sensuality’. Her b**bs have become the label through which people identify her and she doesn’t help matters as she flaunts these at every occasion.

The most popular scandal about her is that of her sleeping with a dog for a fee but Cossy has denied this at every turn. If she is truly misjudged it cannot be about her excesses in exposing her sexy body.
Recently she tweeted near-unclad pictures of herself just to show off her new panties and also posted in the social media a picture of herself in ‘orgasmic bliss’, possibly giving her fans the picture of herself at the height of a s*xual act. But with all her excesses, Cossy is down-to earth and focused.

Lola Alao
Lola was recently thrown into a controversy involving her good friend, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dino Melaye. It was a messy affair and Lola, who said she was wrongly accused and implicated in the matter, was at the centre of it all.

Before the Lola-Bisi-Dino saga, there was the issue of her husband, who labelled her on the pages of newspaper as “diabolical” but Lola said in a recent interview that she doesn’t bear grudges against anyone. In spite of her former husband’s campaign in the media to drag her name in the mud Lola has never once spoken ill of the man and even saying “I liked the guy. He was a nice guy. It just didn’t work out”

Funke Akindele
Funke was really an actress with many s*x scandals. It was rumoured that she had escapades with some notable men before her marriage to Oshodi big boy, Alhaji Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede.

Bisi Ibidapo Obe
Bisi Ibidapo-Obe is not new to controversies in fact this beautiful actress has always had one controversy or the other trailing her. Her alleged relationships with Timaya, K1 and several others made headlines not too long ago. And recently her controversial personality took a dive after she announced that Dino Melaye was responsible for her pregnancy.

The tabloid again was filled with tales of Bisi and Melaye’s alleged romance-which the ex-honour bale member denied. Seven months after she claimed she met the father of her child, she was delivered of a baby girl and she was once again in the news when she named the child after Dino Melaye.

Genevieve Nnaji
Despite her super star status in the industry, Genevieve has had her own fair share of controversies to add to her growing profile.Before she became as big as she is today she was reportedly involved in romanctic affairs with several actors, such as Pat Attah, Kunle Coker and others. And when the tale of a man who claimed to be the father of her only child waged a media blitz on her, Genevieve’s popularity soared.

She was even said to have dated an ex Vice President. On top of all that there is a lingering rumour of her secret affair with D’Banj, which many have said could lead somewhere.

Foluke Daramola
Before her blissful marriage to her heart-throb,Kayode Salako of Change Agent of Nigeria Network, Foluke was fingered in the break-up of Kayode Salako and his estranged wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Bukola Salako.
Before then there was also a controversy that Foluke was evicted from her home by her landlord for inability to pay her rent. But most of the scandals about her have been put to rest as the actress has been vindicated.

Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo)
Popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, a name she got from the movie that launched her into stardom,her romance with National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi, Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya also known as MC Oluomo which ended prematurely rocked the movie world. The said MC Oluomo bought a Murano car and a duplex in Maryland for her.
She was also rumoured to have dated actor and producer, Kunle Afod. Just few months ago, the gist went round town that she was having an affair with younger brother of Kunle Afolayan, Aremu which she has profusely denied. She is presently rumoured to be in a sizzling romance with top Fuji artiste, Malaika.

Faithia Balogun
This estranged ex-wife of top Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun, Faithia is surely not free of some scandals in Nollywood. She was once rumoured to have fought her colleague in the Yoruba movie industry over a young Ibadan politician, Rotimi Ajanaku whom she accused of snatching from her.
She was once reported to be in sizzling romance with the Director of Corporate Pictures. It was also reported that this almost destroyed the marriage of the top marketer.

Mountain Dew drops Lil Wayne over Emmett Till lyric in rap song

A few days after Lil Wayne refused to properly apologize to the family of civil rights icon, Emmett Till (Google who ET was) for using his name to describe rough sex in a rap lyric, Mountain Dew has dropped him as one of their spokesperson.

The family of Emmett Till asked Lil Wayne for a public apology back in February after the remix for Future'sKarate Chop leaked online containing the lyric, "I'mma beat the p***y up like Emmett Till"

Lil Wayne ignored Till's family until earlier this week when they threatened to put pressure on Mountain Dew and Weezy's other sponsors to drop him.

Lil Wayne wrote an open letter to the family but it obviously wasn't enough as Mountain Dew's parent company PepsiCo just released a statement saying; “We do not plan any additional work with Lil Wayne moving forward. His offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand” and cut all ties with the rapper.

In and open letter sent to Vibe Magazine, the Estate of Emmett Till writes,

“How would you feel is your child was beaten beyond recognition, body mutilated and disfigured, torchered for hours, unnecessarily shot after being BEATEN TO DEATH, lynched in barbed wire weighted down by a 70 pound cotton gin fan and tossed in a river with intent to never be found again? “

Emmett Till was just a child! Emotional consumption of devastation, sadness grief and anger would impel you to your soul, similar to the response your lyrics evoked from our family. The impact of your words left us in awe with our hearts and our mouths wide open. Your lyrics reopened Emmett Till’s casket and reminded the world but most importantly my family including surviors of the tragedy, of the gruesomness of hatred and served as a reminder of the loss owe suffered. Although its been over 57 years it feels like yesterday."

As a recording artist, I have always been interested in word play. My lyrics often reference people, places and events in my music, as well as the music that I create for or alongside other artists.

It has come to my attention that lyrics from my contribution to a fellow artist’s song has deeply offended your family. As a father myself, I cannot imagine the pain that your family has had to endure. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your hurt, as well as the letter you sent to me via your attorneys.

Moving forward, I will not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in my music, especially in an inappropriate manner. I fully support Epic Record’s decision to take down the unauthorized version of the song and to not include the reference in the version that went to retail. I will not be performing the lyrics that contain that reference live and have removed them from my catalogue.

I have tremendous respect for those who paved the way for the liberty and opportunities that African-Americans currently enjoy. As a business owner who employs several African-American employees and gives philanthropically to organizations that help youth to pursue their dreams my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community.

KIDNEY TRANSPLANT: Nollywood Star, Ngozi Nwosu speaks from London! 'I‘ll soon return home'

Ailing actress, Ngozi Nwosu, of Fuji House of Commotion who has been placed under doctors watch after her surgery in a London hospital, has raised hopes of her returning to the country soon. Ngozi recently flew to the United Kingdom to have a kidney transplant, and according to an insider, she has bounced back to good health after the surgery.

In a recent telephone chat with HVP, the actress said, “ I’m getting better and by the grace of God, I will soon return home.”

She noted however, that her returning to the country will depend on the approval of her doctors. “I will return home when my doctors certify me fit to return to the country,”she said.

Ngozi’s recent pictures which she uploaded online showed how she has dramatically transformed from her emaciated look to good health. For some time, the Fuji House of Commotion star, who plays a troublesome character called Peace, had been a shadow of her old self as she battled with kidney-related ailment.

Thanks to Lagos State Government under leadership of Babatunde Raji Fashola and other well-meaning Nigerians who came to her rescue. The governor donated N4.5 million after reading of her ailment in a publication. Her friends and corporate organizations donated another N2 million she needed for her treatment.

Solomon Akiyesi's first wife, Ezinne, finally speaks

Ezinne is Solomon Akiyesi's first wife and hasn't said anything since this messy drama started on Saturday April 13th when the actor's second wife, Lilian Akiyesi, disrupted his wedding to another woman in Lagos. Ezinne is finally responding after Solomon released his own side of the story, calling Ezinne a liar and a womb-less woman who destroyed her womb by having an abortion in the early 90's. Ezinne why have you decided to respond to your estranged husband Solomon?
It grieves my heart to actually give a mental man publicity. However in our culture we believe in responding to accusations or else you will be deemed guilty. Contrary to what our "jury" thinks, I did not want to have any part in this whole messy saga. The publishing of my wedding photos was done by a few of my concerned friends who are involved and felt that wife # 2 had no business crying wolf when she succeeded in snatching a man from a quiet,well mannered woman that I am.

To be fair I loved him as a young girl in the university. He was a pauper who did not have the wherewithal to pay his fees talk less of feeding or accommodation...an Ososo, Akoko Edo boy trying to survive in school. I was comfortable and hardworking , I went the extra mile to sell things and even set up a barbing salon called “Cute Fellows” on Joyce B road in Ibadan .all to cater for Solomon and accommodate the additional and financial requirements. I met him just after he completed his diploma, his long dream that was unfortunately and primitively proportional to his pocket was achieved through me.On the other hand,I felt he was brilliant enough to go further and helped him through a degree program,polishing and brushing him up as we tagged along. I became virtually responsible for him all the way through. He was lovingly pulled out of his squalor and lived with my elder sister and family in Ibadan Then he used to wear my younger brothers clothes, he was part of us. Solomon’s first trip to the garden city was sponsored by me. His first job was given by my god mother Madam Joyce B who introduced Solomon to her former tenant "Ray Hyatt "(of blessed memory) in PH who eventually gave him a job in his company OCO Industrial services;a company still in existence in trans amadi .The same job that gave him "rap music, posh cars and women" . he is now boasting about, totally abusing the source of his breakthrough.he claimed he ran into me in PH . Solomon and I had our Marriage introduction in 2000 . I did my youth service in PH in 2001 the same year he came in to PH. The same Ezinne that he claimed he came across in PH.

I virtually set him up and made him presentable to society . he actually admitted that he was a thug and i quote "I decided to leave my life of thuggery".

Didn't he say “It was as far as I was concerned, a devastating blow to the new life I was living; rap music, cars, money and women. So, I told her the pregnancy was unacceptable to me. Besides, I only just started working and needed stability.” he is so inconsistent!

- Before this wedding brouhaha came up,he called up me suggesting and planning with me to go for IVF. The same woman he claimed had no womb.
In January this year he called me up crying that he had no money or food and had been abandoned,i bought him food and gave him cash to see him through 
a few days.we met at a restaurant because i didn't want him coming to my house. Must Solomon degrade himself with these untrue stories to buttress his point?

He was locked up for days and finally bailed by me,the so called deceitful wife and my Pastor. His criminal file is still in Moscow, HQ, PH . Solomon claimed a car was stolen from him and sustained a gunshot from an undisclosed destination. This is still questionable to date.
Saint Solomon ran into trouble again shortly after, this time stealing about N13M from his partners and was in hiding for two years. This was published in the Punch newspaper in 2009.
The downtrend of Solomon’s wickedness was his attempt to kill or get rid of ME. Now, I understand why.

This evil minded husband bought an MTN Sim card to send text messages to ME advising me to leave the house because armed robbers were planning to invade and rob. He wanted me out by all means,he is a coward and a crook and Fortunately for me I discovered a SIM pack under his car seat having the same number that was sending the text messages. I confronted him and he claimed that when he saw the threat messages in my phone ,he asked for the SIM from MTN. I believed him then.I am not trying to castigate Solomon here but the greed and deceit flag he has ascribed to the fingers that fed him and the absolute false condemnation of my womanhood is unfair.I have no choice but to set the records straight!

Solomon is a weakling who justifies every of his lapses with the errors from the other party. Is it not a marvel that till date he still does not have a child? 
Solomon was extremely brilliant in UI. He is obviously brilliant with his stories. Our people say “The leaf wey e dey sweet goat, na him dey kill am”.

One would have imagined that his family would sit him down and advise him, unfortunately he bluffed them when he thought he had some stolen money but He called to them for help while in hiding for two years . They are so ashamed of him that they want nothing to do with this global show of shame. I have a womb,I do not know where Solomon cooked up all the lies he said,he is probably translating the scripts in his head into reality.

Nobert Young: ‘There’s No Nollywood But Igbowood’

Veteran Nigerian actor, Norbert Young has recently expressed his feelings for Nigeria’s movie industry, saying there’s no Nollywood but rather ‘Igbowood‘.

Nobert Young revealed this in an interview, saying the industry has become stereotypical with the same faces doing the same things over and over again.

‘You say you have actors and celebrities, how many actors can you count? The same three or four people in every movie, the same three or four girls in every movie. The same story about love or hatred or betrayal or this and that. Is that an industry? Industry of just four people and one tribe. I have said somewhere that it should be called Igbowood just like you have Yorubawood and Hausawood. It is not Nollywood if Nollywood represents Nigeria’, Young said.

Young is 53 years old and hails from Delta State. He graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria and studied Theater arts. He is one of Nigeria’s most experienced and professional actors ever.

Justin Bieber Stops Concert For Muslim Prayer

Justin Bieber stopped his concert in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday night during the Muslim call to prayer.

According to E! Online, Bieber paused his show at Istanbul's sold-out Technical University sports arena to allow for audience members to pray (a practice Muslims observe five times daily). Bieber's gesture was met with many positive notices on Twitter.

The goodwill Bieber engendered by pausing the show helped offset some of the trouble he and his entourage reportedly got into earlier on Thursday at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport. According to ABC News, Bieber and his crew did not present any of their travel documents to security officials as they left the airport. As a result, Bieber was checked by security outside of Sabiha Gökçen Airport and allowed to go on his way.

Bieber's current tour has not been without some controversy. His planned show in Oman was reportedly canceled because the Muslim nation deemed his stage act too sexy and debauched.
