Nollywood Lovers Assault Journalist At LTV 8, Threaten To Kill Him Spiritually

Nollywood lovers; Kunle Adegbite and Biodun Okeowo, threw caution in the air on Sunday when they allegedly assaulted a journalist with City People magazine, Gbolahan Adetayo, over a story he wrote about them. 

The young journalist had written a story about the lovers in his column that they would soon get married, which didn't go down well with the lovers. 

A source, who witnessed the show of shame by the lovers, told Nigeriafilms.com that the duo allegedly threatened to deal with the movie writer spiritually. 

This was after the lovers had allegedly beaten and tore the journalist's shirt at the celebrity hangout, causing him a public embarrassment. Gbolahan was allegedly beaten like a kid in the presence of some other journalists and celebrities who were at LTV 8 premises in Alausa, Ikeja, by the embittered lovers. 

The source said, "they both even went to the extent of threatening to 'kill Gbolahan spiritually'. They allegedly spoke in Yoruba that "wo, ma pa e danu. La ti o ni lo, mo pe o safe o. Ti mo ba le ba e ja lojukoroju, mo pe ma ba e ja togun togun" (See, I will kill you. Henceforth, know that you are not safe. If I can fight with you physically, then know that I can go spiritually).

Our source wondered why would Kunle and his lover threaten to kill a journalist over an innocent, non-libelous story which they also publicly admitted is known to everyone. 

Our source said the journalist has reported the matter to the police and may press for charges against the Nollywood lovers. Efforts to contact the duo of Kunle and Biodun proved abortive as at press time. A source close to them told Nigeriafilms.com that they are in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on a movie location. 

However, Gbolahan Adetayo confirmed the story to us when contacted on phone. He said the matter has been reported to the police for investigation.

Police arrest former Governors maid for Robbery

Police in Oyo State yesterday paraded one Francise Kadibuwa, a Beninoise, for being the mastermind of the robbery attack on the Bodija, Ibadan residence of the immediate past governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao- Akala, penultimate week.

Parading the suspect identified as the cleaner of Alao-Akala’s house at the police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammed Indabawa, said the command received a complaint from the former governor’s wife, Mrs. Oluwakemi Alao-Akala, that unknown persons broke into her apartment, ransacked everywhere and made away with some of her valuables like jewellery and money.

According to the commissioner, a team of crack detectives from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad was detailed to go into the case and unravel the identity of the criminals after which Kadibuwa confessed to be the culprit.

Indabawa said the cleaner, in his confession, absolved other workers in the house of involvement in the burglary, claiming that he single-handedly planned and executed the burglary by buying the house breaking implements like hammer, sawblade, two chisels and nail removers a week before the incident.

The commissioner added that Kadibuwa carried out the robbery operation between 1am and 3am on May 5, when all the occupants of the house had travelled to Ogbomoso.

WICKEDNESS: Abortion Doctor Convicted For Killing 3 Babies Born Alive

A Philadelphia doctor accused of performing illegal, late-term abortions in a filthy clinic has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of three babies born alive but acquitted in the death of a fourth baby.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of a patient.

Prosecutors say the 72-year-old Gosnell delivered babies alive and had their spines severed with scissors to kill them. They say the baby whose death he was cleared in let out a soft whimper before Gosnell cut its neck.

The defense had argued there were no live births at the clinic.

The grisly details of the case came out more than two years ago when authorities described finding bags and bottles of fetuses at the foul-smelling clinic and unsterile instruments that were reused.

Prosecutors seek the death penalty.

Mother files $10 million lawsuit against teacher for having sèx with her son

An angry mother is filing a $10 million lawsuit against a teacher, for having séx with her son, according to court documents.

The mother of a teen who confessed to a burning affair with his teacher at James Madison High School in Brooklyn, New York, kept her promise and sued the city and the teacher. Maureen Eng, who announced she would be seeking $10 million in damages, said in court documents that her son Kevin "had his childhood stolen from him" in that high school.

She identified his seducer as Erin Sayar, an English teacher at the school. Kevin turned 16 in December, when he and Sayer had séx eight times in her car and in the classroom, according to the court documents.

Sayar, who was 35 at the time, was hired to tutor 11 graders, but the sessions included plying the boy with drugs she kept in a file cabinet at work, according to the court documents.

"Sayar used the authority and the power of her position to place the boy in a vulnerable position, betraying the trust and engaging in pedophile conduct with him," Maureen Eng said in court papers. However, Kevin Eng blabbed about his love for the teacher on Facebook, according to a report by the Department of Education.

"I love you," he wrote on Sayar’s facebook page. His jealous girlfriend alerted authorities about it after she hacked into his Facebook account and found hot messages between May to December, according to the court documents.

State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Lucky Uyabeme, who confirmed the arrest told newsmen that before his arrest, the accused had succeeded in duping the family of the kidnap suspect standing trial in one of the courts within the Warri axis.

According to him, “the arrested fake lawyer was adorned in the paraphernalia of a legal practitioner in the open court.

“He was arrested in the open court while attempting to represent the interest of a kidnapper awaiting trial, one Marker Godfrey.

“Information at our disposal further revealed that the fake lawyer had duped the family of the suspected kidnapper of N280,000 and other items yet to be estimated.”

Nollywood Actress Camilla Mberekpe Explained Her Meeting With T.B Joshua

An associate of the actress explained the situation on her behalf. On Sunday April 28th, the actress appeared on T.B Joshua's televised deliverance programme on Emmanuel TV, but contrary to earlier reports that she confessed to being a witch, her associate says she never did. The paper claims that “multiple sources” said after the Met Gala last week that the singer,

Her Givenchy gown, notes the Post, featured a high, belted waist that carefully camouflaged her midsection. More recent pictures of the star on stage in London show more of a rounded tummy.



MTO says it has been “CONFIRMED” by a “quasi-official” member of the Beyoncé/Jay-Z team that the singer is pregnant. The site says Beyoncé plans to tell the world at the BET Awards show, which is June 30.

1. Will you have kids and, if so, how will you raise them?

Assuming that you both want to be parents someday, how many do you want to have and how will you raise them as co-parents? Will they be raised under one religion? Court Jails Iranian For Smuggling Arms Into Nigeria

Azim Aghajani, a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has been found guilty of smuggling weapons into Lagos and sentenced to five years in prison by a Federal High Court in the city.

A Nigerian, Ali Jega was also convicted alongside Azim Aghajani.

The Nigerian Customs Service in 2010 made a seizure of 13 containers loaded with rockets and grenades, shipped in from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The shipment including rockets and other explosives were hidden in containers of building materials.

Court documents revealed that the arms were to be re-exported to The Gambia.

The Judge who presided over the two-year trial,  Justice Okechukwu Okeke, found the Iranian guilty and sentenced him to prison for five years.

The men were said to have, without licence, been “in control of bombs and grenade categorised as prohibited firearms under Item 4 of Part 1 of the Schedule to the Firearms Act, Cap F28, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and contrary to Section 3 of the Constitution.”

They were also said to have been in control of rockets categorised as prohibited firearms without licence.

Shocker: School official arrested for ringing bell too early

A school official in central China has been sentenced to one year in jail for ringing a bell too early forcing students to hand in their national college entrance exam almost five minutes before the test should have ended, the state media said.

The national entrance exam is a very competitive test in which high school students battle for the limited number of spots in the country’s universities. Winning a spot in the university brings pride and prestige to the student and their families. Those who go to university achieve great social advancement.

A school official from the province of Hunan, Xiao Yulong, 54, admitted that he made a mistake and rang the school bell four minutes and 48 seconds early, forcing the 1,050 students to turn in their exams before the proper time, local media reported.

The incident lead to hundreds of students with their parents to demand that the government open an investigation. Xiao was negligent in his work and in error he rang the bell early. People believe that his ringing the bell early had a negative impact on their kids because they were not able to complete the exam.

The court sentenced Xiao to one year in jail for negligence, however, the judge sentenced him to time served.
