Funnyman Kevin Hart Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

It was a rough night for actor and comedian Kevin Hart, who was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday after driving erratically (at a whopping 90 miles per hour) on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles.

According to the official report, police observed Hart's black Mercedes-Benz SLS driving in and out of all lanes -- and nearly colliding with a gas tanker truck -- before conducting the enforcement stop.

And that's when things went from bad to worse for Mr. Hart. Because it didn't take long for him to show visible signs of intoxication and fail the field sobriety tests.

In fact, he took to Twitter to announce what happened on his own, tweeting, "When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said 'WHY WASTE OUR TIME… I'M DRUNK MAN'… #TrueStory."

Apparently, the police agreed because authorities booked the "Think Like a Man" and "The Five-Year Engagement" star into jail and held him on a $5,000 bond for the misdemeanor.

Which might be why Hart isn't laughing now. Shortly after the tongue-in-cheek first tweet, Hart followed up with a more pensive thought.

"On some real s**t….. drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter," he wrote. "People have lost lives because of stupid s**t [like] this!"

The Hollywood heavyweight continued, reflecting on how this mistake relates to his own life.

"This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't…. everything happens for a reason…." he mused.

Hopefully this is a wake-up call indeed, as Hart is no stranger to the negative effects alcohol and drug abuse can have on lives. During his 2011 stand-up routine movie, "Laugh at My Pain," the comedian revealed how his father's drug addiction led to embarrassing behavior.

Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris Says 'He Was An Incredible Father'

Paris Jackson opens up about her late father Michael Jackson in the Mail on Sunday's Event magazine.

According to the Daily Mail, the 15-year-old admits in the mag that Michael was a wonderful father and that all he wanted was to give her and her brothers Prince, now 16, and Blanket, now 11, a normal childhood.

"I have lots of memories of my father. He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death," Paris says, continuing, "He’d try to educate us as much as he could and was always looking out for us. He was very protective."

Paris goes on to explain that he wanted to give his children the childhood he never had, which explains why Michael always had them wear face masks while out in public.

"He didn’t want anyone to see what we looked like. That way we could have what he didn’t, which was a normal childhood," she shares.

Paris, Prince and Blanket have been living a life in the spotlight since Michael's death in July 2009, but Paris insists they are still a lot like any other kids, revealing she attends a public school so she can "have a normal high-school experience."

Next on Paris' list? Restoring the Neverland ranch, which she wants to bring back so that sick children can enjoy it.

"I cried and cried," Paris explains of the moment she saw the estate's Ferris Wheel was gone. "It’s beautiful there," she adds, "It still has good energy."

And her positive attitude and devotion to her father might explain why Paris aspires to be a heart surgeon.

"I want to help people," Paris simply states. "That's it."

A Republican senator says entertainers Beyonce and Jay-Z missed a chance while in Cuba to see firsthand the effects of political oppression.

Forida Sen. Marco Rubio calls their recent trip "hypocritical" and he takes issue with the U.S. government's approval of the visit as a cultural mission.

Beyonce and Jay-Z marked their wedding anniversary in Havana last week.

U.S. citizens aren't allowed to travel to Cuba for mere tourism, though they can obtain licenses for academic, religious, journalistic or cultural exchange trips.

These people-to-people licenses were reinstated under the Obama administration.

Rubio, a Cuban-American, says such trips provide money to the Castro government to oppress the Cuban people.

Omawumi, Tiwa Savage, Lynxxx, Flavour, MI, Naeto C to be confirmed as new Glo ambassadors

According to the inside gist we gathered, Glo is planning to cut down on the number of old Nollywood stars who are currently their ambassadors and replace them with young, vibrant music stars.The next phase will be comedians.

The new ambassadors have been interviewed, they have also negotiated the cost of engagement for a period of two years (They each will be getting between N10m/N20m annually). They have also agreed to terms and conditions for the engagement.

The stars are waiting for the official announcement after which they will all pick up their cheques.

Lynxxx, Omawumi, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, MI, Bez, Naeto C, Chidynma (The Voice), and Lagbaja will soon be announced as the new ambassadors for telecoms giant, Globacom. The music stars or their reps met with the management of Glo at the conference room of Eko Hotel from Monday to Friday last week.

Why We Want To Start Killing Muslims Now ––MEND Declares

There is fire on the mountain top and its fallout may be spreading pretty soon....

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has threatened to launch violent attacks on mosques, hajj camps, Islamic institutions, large congregations of Islamic followers, as well as assassinations of Islamic clerics who propagate doctrines of hate.

According to MEND in a statement issued on Sunday evening and signed by its spokesperson Jomo bomo, the proposed attacks is a crusade to:

Save Christianity in Nigeria from annihilation through what it called “Operation Barbarossa”.

According to militant group, "On behalf of the hapless Christian population in Nigeria, MEND will from Friday, May 31, 2013, embark on a crusade to save Christianity in Nigeria from annihilation. The bombings of mosques, hajj camps, Islamic institutions, large congregations in Islamic events and assassinations of clerics that propagate doctrines of hate, will form the core mission of this crusade code named “Operation Barbarossa”.

"This campaign will not in any way interfere with the ongoing “Hurricane Exodus” – which on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at about 01:00 Hrs, swept through the Ewellesuo community, Nembe, Bayelsa State, leaving the destruction of well 62, belonging to Shell Petroleum in its wake. We may only consider a ceasefire of 'Operation Barbarossa' if the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Catholic Church and Henry Okah, one of the few leaders in the Niger Delta region we respect for his integrity, intervenes. 

 

Also the assurance for a cessation of hostilities targeted at Christians in their places of worship, made privately or publicly by the real Boko Haram leadership will make us call off this crusade."
