Actress and AGN President, Ibinabo Fiberisima Shares more Pictures From Her Wedding, Reconciles With Mr Ibu

AGN President Ibinabo Fiberisima seen dancing with actor Mr Ibu at her wedding last Thursday in Port Harcourt. The two have obviously made up after blasting each other in interviews over Ibinabo’s re-election as AGN president.

Mr Ibu had said at the time that Ibinabo wasn’t fit to be president. Guess that’s all water under the bridge.

PHOTO: Man Eats 160 EGGS In 40 Minutes To Commemorate Christmas

A Chinese man, Pan Yizhong, ate 160 eggs in less than 40 minutes to honor the Christmas season.
The 46-year-old man has disclosed that he is in good health and plans to take up higher challenges in future.
The competitive eater who wore a red and white Santa hat sat down and shoved 150 quail eggs and 10 chicken eggs down his throat in less than 40 minutes on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in a restaurant located at central China’s Hunan province.
Yizhong said the season “seemed like an appropriate time to eat eggs” because the homophone for “egg” was contained in the Chinese word for Christmas “Shengdanjie.”
Speaking to AFP, the man said, “At the time I got to 160, I was becoming tired of the flavour so I stopped. It wasn’t because I was full.”
Yizhong, the most celebrated exponent of the art of competitive eating in China, has previously dispatched 147 dumplings in a single sitting and once polished off 40 bowls of noodles in 15 minutes.
He said: “Now I’m back to normal, I’ve had ice cream and barbecued meat since.
“As a competitive eater, I want to test my limits eating all kinds of food.
“I never tried eating so many eggs before, and I feel I still haven’t reached my limit.”

Synagogue: TB Joshua flies families of South African victims to Lagos

Nigerian preacher TB Joshua has invited to Lagos the bereaved families of the South African victims of a fatal church building collapse for a trip of “spiritual and emotional support”, a spokesman said Tuesday.
A guesthouse for foreign followers of the pastor and televangelist Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly known as TB Joshua, collapsed on September 12 killing 116 people — including 81 South Africans.
Remains of 74 of the South African victims were repatriated home two months later and 11 more remained behind awaiting DNA identification.
“The healing process is continuous but it was very important that the families be part of the year-end candlelight service — it’s spiritual and emotional support,” the church’s spokesman in South Africa Kirsten Nematandani told AFP.
He said TB Joshua, who “has continuously supported the families”, will interact with them throughout the trip. “This is about the spirit of caring.”
Forty-four of the 74 families have taken up the offer for the all-expenses-paid, week-long trip starting on Christmas Day.
The rest are unable to travel because of lack of travel documents or prior commitments, said Nematandani.
Families of the 11 outstanding victims will be invited after the remains are sent back to South Africa, he said.
Some South Africans took to social media, suggesting that the trip was a bribe for the families not to launch any legal action against Joshua.
“This is a preemptive strike against any possible lawsuit,” tweeted @Nothibi-Phosa.
But Nematandani dismissed such claims saying the relatives were going to the church to “pray” and not to talk about litigation.
oshua, a self-proclaimed prophet, has said the collapse in September may have been sabotage and has on three occasions ignored summonses to testify before an ongoing coroner’s inquest into the incident.
His lawyers are attempting to stop the investigation, arguing the coroner has exceeded his powers to call Joshua as a witness.
Nematandani said TB Joshua “has never been above the law, he respects the law”.
The preacher’s followers include influential politicians and business people from around Africa and the world, and his loyalists have suggested the collapse is part of a conspiracy to undermine him.

ISIS captures pilot: Terrorists shoot down jet and drag terrified soldier away in shocking pictures

ISIS published the pictures and the Jordanian authorities have confirmed that the pilot is one of their soldiers, serving in the US-led coalition against the terror group

These photos reveal the dreadful fear on the face of a US-led coalition forces fighter pilot shot down and captured by Islamic State soldiers.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the aircraft was shot down near the northern city of Raqqa, the Islamic State group's de facto capital.
The Jordanian army has confirmed that the pilot is one of their military personnel.

It is the first time a warplane has been shot down by ISIS since the US-led coalition began its air strikes against the group in Syria three months ago.
Raqqa Media Centre (RMC), which covers areas under IS control, published the as he was surrounded by 11 fighters.
Horror: The man is clearly terrified as he is carried away
The terrified pilot wears a white shirt but is naked from the waist down and soaking wet as he is dragged out of what appears to be a lake by armed men, some of them wearing masks.
The US-led coalition has carried out hundreds of air strikes against ISIS positions in Syria since September 23.
Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have joined in air strikes against the extremist group, while Qatar is providing logistical support.
Events in Syria are difficult to verify because of restricted media access to conflict zones.
Raids: Coalition warplanes carry out regular raids over Syria and Iraq
Raqqa province, which borders Turkey, is almost entirely under the control of Islamic State fighters.
Boosted by arms seized in Iraq, the group evicted most rival rebels from the province earlier this year and took control of a string of government military bases over the summer, including an air base.
There was no immediate comment on the reports of the plane's downing from the Syrian government or from officials of countries participating in the coalition. US officials said they were looking into the media reports but declined further comment.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have participated in or supported the strikes against Islamic State targets in Syria, according to U.S. Central Command.

Sony CEO Says President Obama, Press 'Are Mistaken' About What Happened With 'The Interview'

Shortly after President Barack Obama called Sony Pictures' choice to cancel the release of "The Interview" in the wake of threats made by hackers a "mistake," the studio's CEO, Michael Lynton, told CNN that critics of the decision don't understand the full story.
"I think actually the unfortunate part is in this instance the president, the press and the public are mistaken as to what actually happened," Lynton said in an interviewwith CNN's Fareed Zakaria. "We do not own movie theaters. We cannot determine whether or not a movie will be played in movie theaters. So, to sort of rehearse for a moment the sequence of events, we experienced the worst cyber-attack in American history and persevered for three and a half weeks under enormous stress and enormous difficulty. All with the effort of trying to keep our business up and running and get the movie out to the public."
Sony's lack of proprietorship became clear when major chains such as AMC Entertainment, Regal Entertainment and Cinemark withdrew plans to screen the filmafter hackers invoked Sept. 11 to threaten theaters that supported the film. At the time, Sony had no plans to cancel the release, instead urging theaters to make their own decisions. Sony's statement, released Wednesday, said the reversal came "in light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film 'The Interview.'"
"The movie theaters came to us one by one over the course of a very short period of time -- we were very surprised by it -- and announced that they would not carry the movie," Lynton told CNN. "At that point in time we had no alternative to not proceed with a theatrical release on the 25th of December. [...] We have not caved. We have not given in. We have persevered. And we have not backed down."
Lynton noted the requests for a video-on-demand release of "The Interview," but he said no major VOD distributors have stepped forward. "We don’t have that direct interface with the American public, so we need to go through an intermediary to do that," he said.
Lynton's full interview airs tonight on "Anderson Cooper 360."
Sony Pictures also released a statement about "The Interview" in conjunction with Lynton's interview:
Sony Pictures Entertainment is and always has been strongly committed to the First Amendment. For more than three weeks, despite brutal intrusions into our company and our employees’ personal lives, we maintained our focus on one goal: getting the film The Interview released. Free expression should never be suppressed by threats and extortion.

The decision not to move forward with the December 25 theatrical release of The Interview was made as a result of the majority of the nation’s theater owners choosing not to screen the film. This was their decision.

Let us be clear –- the only decision that we have made with respect to release of the film was not to release it on Christmas Day in theaters, after the theater owners declined to show it. Without theaters, we could not release it in the theaters on Christmas Day. We had no choice.

After that decision, we immediately began actively surveying alternatives to enable us to release the movie on a different platform. It is still our hope that anyone who wants to see this movie will get the opportunity to do so.
