The new James Bond film has finally arrived after a string of delays brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, and star Daniel Craig led the charge on the red carpet at the premiere.

Taking place in London on Tuesday night, the stars of the 25th Bond outing, including Rami Malek and Lashana Lynch, got glammed up for the cameras.

Main man Daniel made the right choice ditching the standard black tuxedo for the event, and looked stunning in a raspberry pink tuxedo jacket over a white shirt and black trousers.

He was joined by his leading lady Lashana Lynch who sported an equally bold yellow evening gown with a full skirt and a black petticoat.

Co-stars Rami Malek, the Bond villain this time around, Naomie Harris, who plays Miss Moneypenny, and Ana de Armas, who plays Paloma also scrubbed up well for the premiere. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, looked unbothered by the drizzle as they joined the A-list stars on the red carpet.Looking every inch a movie star herself the duchess wore a striking gold, floor length dress with a matching cape, while her other half opted for a smart black tuxedo. The royal couple posed on the stairs with Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. They rubbed shoulders with the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Stormzy, Jason Momoa and Michelle Yeoh.

Daniel has played the spy in four films so far – Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre, with the much delayed No Time To Die wrapping up his time as Bond.

The film, directed by Cary Fukanaga, sees a retired Bond called back into the field by friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) to search for a missing scientist.

After discovering the scientist has been abducted, Bond must confront a villain (Rami Malek) whose schemes could lead to the death of millions.

No Time To Die is in cinemas on September 30.

Donald Trump ‘ordered ex-press secretary to defend his penis size’, Stephanie Grisham says

While president, Donald Trump told former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham to defend his penis size against ridicule by adult film star Stormy Daniels, the ex-Trump staffer claims in a new tell-all book.

In her book I’ll Take Your Questions Now, ‘Grisham writes that Mr Trump called her while aboard Air Force One to defend the size of his penis after Ms Daniels insulted it in an interview’, according to The New York Times, which obtained excerpts.

‘Uh, yes sir,’ Grisham replied.

Grisham was referring to Daniels – who alleged having an affair with Trump – writing in her 2017 book, ‘I lay there, annoyed that I was getting f***ed by a guy with Yeti pubes and a d*** like the mushroom character in Mario Kart’.

In another instance, Trump summoned Grisham to have her bring an unnamed press aide aboard Air Force One so he could ‘look at her’ and used an expletive to describe her rear end, according to an excerpt.

Trump ordered Grisham to promote the woman and ‘keep her happy’ but Grisham said she instead tried to keep the woman away from him.

Grisham, whose book is due out next Tuesday, never held a televised press conference during her tenure as press secretary.

‘I knew that sooner or later the president would want me to tell the public something that was not true or that would make me sound like a lunatic,’ Grisham wrote, explaining why she never held a briefing with reporters.

Trump responded to Grisham’s book with a statement to The Times on Tuesday.

‘Stephanie didn’t have what it takes and that was obvious from the beginning’ and she became ‘very angry and bitter’ after a breakup, Trump stated.

‘She had big problems and we felt that she should work out those problems for herself. Now, like everyone else, she gets paid by a radical left-leaning publisher to say bad and untrue things.’

Meanwhile, Grisham claims in her book that ‘the truth was that pretty much everyone eventually wore out their welcome with the president’ and that staff ‘were bottles of milk with expiration dates’.

Grisham added, ‘I should have spoken up more’.

Crossdresser, Bobrisky drops savagery note amid Tonto Dikeh’s squabble with ex-lover, Kpokpogri

Popular crossdresser, Bobrisky has dropped a savagery note amid the ongoing media bout between Tonto Dikeh and her ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri.

Recall that earlier today, it was reported that Kpokpogri dragged Tonto and the DSS over violation of his fundamental human rights and demanded a sum of 10 billion Naira as compensation for the stress and trauma he suffered when the security agency invited him for questioning some days back.

Reacting to this, Tonto Dikeh fired back which led to the involvement of the dancer, Janemena. Ever since then, the duo has continued to hit each other, while stirring up tension on social media.

Amidst this saga, Bobrisky has taken to his Instagram page to drop a note laced with mockery believed to be directed towards Tonto Dikeh, where he admitted how entertaining it has been for him to see the actress disgrace herself ‘everywhere’.

The police have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in the abduction of the 121 students of the Bethel Baptist Secondary School in Kaduna State.

Those apprehended by the security operatives are Adamu Bello, Isiaku Lawal, and Muazu Abubakar.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, paraded the trio on Thursday at the office of the Special Tactical Squad (STS) in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Clad in military uniform, Adamu, Lawal, and Abubakar were among the 50 suspects paraded for kidnapping, drugs use and distribution, and arms dealing, among other offences.

Mba, in his remarks, explained that the suspects paraded were part of the successes recorded from the STS of the Nigeria Police.

According to him, investigations are ongoing to bring more collaborators of the crimes mentioned at the parade to justice.

In their confession, they narrated the role they played in the kidnap of dozens of students from their school in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects said they were part of a 25-man gang that carried out the attack on the school in July, claiming that they received the sum of N100,000 naira each for their roles.

They added that the sole aim of the kidnap was to collect ransom.

The trio were paraded more than three months after the gunmen forcefully took away the schoolchildren from their hostels on July 5.

They were later released in batches – as 28 of them were freed on July 25 after a ransom was reportedly paid to their abductors.

More students were later freed, and the latest set of students to be released were 10 (on Saturday) brings the total number of students who have regained freedom so far to 100.

However, 21 other students of the school are held back in the custody of the bandits.

Tonto Dikeh’s ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogiri clears air on alleged sex tape with JaneMena

Popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh and her ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri are determined to drag each other to the ground. Tonto had earlier taken to social media with a post claiming that Kpokpogri has numerous sex tapes of dancer, Jane Mena in his possession.

Jane Mena

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh’s ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri has reacted to her latest accusation.

Tonto Dikeh had revealed that Kpokpogri, who she stated his real name to be Joseph Egbri, has sex tapes of every woman he has slept with including celebrity dancer, Jane Mena who is currently married to her long time boyfriend.

However, Prince Kpokpogri, reacting, clarified that he’s family friends with JaneMena adding that it’s a taboo to sleep with a married woman where he’s from.

His post on his Instagram page read: “Is Janemena my friend? Yes! Beyond going to her shop opening years back, our relationship has only been on the phone. We have been family friends for years and the husband is someone that’s close to me. It is a taboo where I come from to sleep with a married woman even though I am still single, worst of all, with a married Isoko lady, who will pay the ultimate price if she does that. Don’t drag her and any other name in your imagination into our ship that has long sunk. I’ve lived and living a clean life. No amount of blackmail can pull me down.

“It will be a disservice to the institution called love if I say it was a regret knowing you as it wasn’t. It may have been a short memory but it’s such that it will last a lifetime. Did I love you? Absolutely yes. In your weaknesses and vulnerability, I still loved you and was ready to walk you through the challenges of life. I gave you the chance to be yourself irrespective of the negative impression I was given about you. Despite warnings by top political and corporate friends to be careful while dating you, I opened up my heart to you and access to the sanctuary of my heart. It was all love, nothing more.

“This was what broke us up and not an aftermath voice note. I have deliberately avoided the issue of Janemena till now but it will be selfish of me to allow the poor lady who has lived and still living a virtuous life to be dragged into our breakup which has become messy.”

You can’t use my past to hurt me, Tonto Dikeh replies ex-lover Kpokpogri

Tonto Dikeh and Kpokpogri

The break-up drama between Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh and her ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri got more intense as the duo was engaged in an Instagram war on Thursday.

Dikeh earlier called out Kpokpogri on her page, to stop running and face the consequences of his actions after it was rumoured that she petitioned security agencies to investigate him.

In response, Kpokpogri alleged that he broke up with her because of her “hard smoking and heavy drinking.”

Kpokpogri said, “I’m ready to foot the NDLEA cost to carry out a test on you if you never abused hard smoking and heavy drinking; and if found to be false, I will waive my right to trial for one year. This was what broke us up and not an aftermath voice note.”

In response, Dikeh took to her Instagram story to call on National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to carry out a test on her if they have any report.

The actress, in her latest post, also replied to her ex-lover’s allegation, stating that he cannot hurt her with her past.

Dikeh also shared some screenshots from their chats, alleging that Kpokpogri threatened her with blackmail threats which he carried out.

The Fugees reunion: Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel announce comeback tour of first gigs in 15 years

Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel rose to fame as The Fugees in the 1990s, releasing second album The Score in 1996, with hits including Fu-Gee-La, Ready Or Not and their cover of Killing Me Softly.

Hip-hop group The Fugees have announced they are reuniting for their first live shows in 15 years, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal album, The Score.

The trio - Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel - rose to fame in the 1990s - thanks to hit songs including Fu-Gee-La, Ready Or Not and their cover of Killing Me Softly, all from the album, which topped the Billboard 200 in the US and charted at number two in the UK.

Debuting in the early '90s as Tranzlator Crew, the group eventually adopted the name Fugees, a shortened riff on "refugees'' that referenced cousins Jean and Michel's shared Haitian-immigrant heritage. Their first album Blunted On Reality was released in 1994, but it was The Score that made them a household name.

Despite only being together for five years and two albums before they split for the first time, The Fugees made a huge impact on hip-hop music in the 1990s and won two Grammy awards for The Score and Killing Me Softly. The Score went on to have estimated sales of more than 22 million worldwide, placing it among the best-selling albums of all time.

Following a break-up amid tensions in the band, all three musicians went on to have solo careers. Jean released his debut album Wyclef Jean Presents The Carnival in 1997, while Hill and Michel followed in 1998, with The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill and Ghetto Supastar respectively.

The trio reunited for Fugees gigs in 2004 and 2005, but later split again.

Announcing the reunion tour, which will include a UK show in London, Hill said: "The Fugees have a complex but impactful history. I wasn't even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention.

"I decided to honour this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world."

"As I celebrate 25 years with The Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music, we would be a movement," said Jean. We would be a voice for the unheard - and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together."

The Fugees will play a one-off gig in New York on Wednesday before the tour starts in Chicago on 2 November. They will play eight US dates in total before a show in Paris and then at the O2 in London on 6 December. The tour will finish with gigs in Nigeria and Ghana.

The Fugees' charitable fund also plans to link up with Global Citizen for philanthropic efforts around the tour, the band have said.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on 24 September.

Tems is Apple Music's UP NEXT artist, set to perform on Jimmy Kimmel

Apple Music today announced artist/producer Tems as the latest addition to its Up Next program, Apple Music's monthly artist initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising talent. The artist just announced her signing to Since ’93/RCA Records, following the release of her new single, ‘Crazy Tings.’

Tems is a dynamic songwriter and producer who is bringing a new energy to the Nigerian music scene. The Isale Eko native boasts a blend of R&B and Soul paired with African nuances to create her unique sound. Last year, Tems released her first EP, For Broken Ears, which was the top R&B album in 43 countries, receiving nods from artists like Brent Faiyaz, Chris Brown, Drake, and more.

Tems also appears on Drake’s newest album, Certified Lover Boy, as well as Wizkid’s standout single, ‘Essence,’ which has held the #1 position on Shazam’s Top 200 Charts. Dubbed the “song of the summer” by critics/fans, the track went #1 at Urban Radio and #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, with a new version recently released with Justin Bieber.

Tems’ songs have been prominently featured on Apple Music playlists such as Afrobeats Hits, Africa Now, Top 100: Nigeria, she was deemed an Apple Music 'Africa Rising' artist, has curated exclusive guest playlists for Apple Music Africa Month and Holiday Sounds, and contributed to Apple Music’s Exclusive Original Playlist: Juneteenth 2021: Freedom Songs.

“I’m so so excited to be selected as the Apple Music Up Next artist,” says Tems. "I'm happy that I can share my story and the story of where I am from. Sending huge love to Apple Music for encouraging artists, and providing the visibility needed to impact societies on a global scale."

“Tems once told me that 'being yourself actually takes more courage than people would imagine," said Apple Music 1 host Nadeska. "In her career that has meant ignoring opinions and pressure to compromise her music, while constantly defying expectations. Her debut EP was raw and addictive, leaving fans hungry for her next release. And no matter how her song writing evolves, her unique and captivating vocal tone will bring her the spotlight on any original or feature record she touches.”

In her Up Next film out today, Tems shares details of her journey, growing up with a single mom in Lagos, Nigeria, being extremely introverted, and afraid to use her regular singing voice because it was too “textured.” She also talks about getting a job right out of university because she thought she had to provide and that’s what her family wanted.

She tells Apple Music: “My decision to quit my job, that leap that I took, literally everything was just coming together. Just off ’Try Me’ alone I had a lot of shows. I couldn’t go out anymore, I couldn’t go to the supermarket anymore, I was like, 'ok something is happening.' ’Try Me’ came out of that strife, and I really wanted it to mean something, especially for Nigerians, people that live in this country, because things are hard."

Additional Up Next campaign moments include a Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance on September 29, 2021 and a sit down interview with Apple Music 1’s Nadeska, where she discusses her highlights from the last year, working with Wizkid on ‘Essence,’ as well as its remix with Justin Bieber, and the new music she has coming.

Tonto Dikeh says ex Prince Kpokpogri is planning to expose her nudes

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that her former boyfriend, Prince Kpokpogri, plans to release her nudes.

In a petition filed against the activist, the actress accused him of blackmail, extortion, and obtaining by false pretense.

"From sometime in June 2021, one Prince Kpokpogri Joseph started to court our client with a proposal to marry her. In the process, he would invite our client to his residence and sometimes, he came over to our client’s residence," part of the petition read.

"Unknown to our client, the said Joseph Kpokpogri (who our client later discovered to be a serial blackmailer) had other motives for courting our client."

"Our client now has reasons and evidence to believe that Joseph Kpokpogri has planted closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV Cameras) at private areas of his residence, and had stage-managed those visits with the aim of blackmailing our client."

"She was surprised when sometime in August 2021, the suspect started demanding money from her and threatening to expose nude pictures and other such documents relating to her."

"To actualize his demands, the said Kpokpogri started sending messages, documents, and files containing sensitive information and materials relating to our client to her phone while also releasing some to the public."

"Our client believes that some of those information were obtained either by wire-tapping her phone and/or through such other means without her authorization."

The petition also demanded that Kpokpogri releases a Toyota Hilux truck belonging to Dikeh in his possession.

Reports of the activist's arrest by the Department of State Service first broke on Wednesday, September 16, 2021.
